As per my previous post, I recently received my new CM9, and finally had a chance today to get it out. First let me say that I have never shot a Kahr before today, I have squeezed off a few rounds with a Ruger LC9 before and didnt like the way that pistol wrist snaps. It even twist a bit in a lateral direction, very uncomfortable. I had some worries that the CM9 would display this behavior,... but I very happy to say it doesnt. Shooting the CM9, (even with some warm reloads) is very comfortable. It has a nice straight recoil with the right amount of barrel rise, no lateral or uncomfortable 'snaps' (for lack of better description)
All ammo used were my own reloads;
First 50 rnds - 115gr Barry's Plated HP's with 6.0grns of 4756 - Not one malfunction!,using 3 different mags (6rnd, 8rnd, & 10rnd)
Next 50 rounds - 147gr Hornady XTP with 6.5 grns of HS-7 - I had one FTF that just needed a slight assist,..using the same 3 mags.
Next 25 rnds - Win. 147gr FMJ with 5.0grns of 296 - Zero malfunctions.
But the biggest surprise of the day was accuracy,.... holy crap!!,.... I can hit targets better with this little gun than I could with any of S&W 59's,... even back to 25yrds I was hitting a 10" target fairly consistently.
The only slight disappointment came at the end of the day when I went to clean it,... its probably one of the most difficult guns Ive owned to take down,... getting the bolt lock back lever out is going to take some getting used to.
But in conclusion, after 125 rnds,.. i am very impressed,... I found a new buddy/EDC.
