I carry one spare mag. no matter which gun I'm carrying.
I like the kydex ones I get from a local (SE MI) guy, but he doesn't have them on his web site because he doesn't have forms/models for all gun mags, including Kahrs. When I have him make a mag. holder I give him my mag. and he makes it while I wait.
He's a one man operations and is just getting his business going. He had been a LEO but got out after Ferguson, His whole family was behind that decision. Tough time to be a cop.

Here's my PM9 in a DeSantis Insider. It hides very well and is fairly comfortable but it's very hard to draw from. I only use this holster when carry is discouraged.

The mag carrier was made buy a guy outside of a gun store, I replaced the clip with one from a Comp-Tac holster. It's pretty comfortable also. The mag is a 7 rounder.

Wow, next to impossible to draw from but it does pretty much disappear. Deep concealment in the extreme.

Yes, I have to jam my thumb down the side to get it started

I would have a difficult time with that. I like a gun to meet me half way. With duty holsters I'd prefer than when the retention was released there was a spring in the bottom of the holster that launched the gun up into my awaiting hand.

Seriously I like to be able to have a full and ready to shoot grip before it leave the holster.

That being said there are occasions such as you mention where your set up would be the ticket.

If it works for you, mission accomplished.

The fact that your a bit slimmer through the trunk probably gives you an advantage too. Ok, a lot slimmer, there I said it.

The only way I would carry that deep, is if front pocket carry was impossible, which it's not. If you can't get a good draw, what's the point???????????? I don't carry extra mags.....................if you can't get the job done with what you have loaded, you must be over seas.........................

There again, personal preference. I'd tie a string thru the trigger guard and wear the gun around my neck like Tico before I'd carry in my pocket. Just foreign to me plus being a full time sitter, just don't work, although I've never even tried.
Many live for pocket carry but not me.

For a Kahr, a mag case or pouch is a necessity to keep the weapon reliable.

You'd better find a different firearm, if that is the way you feel about your Kahr

[QUOTE=SteveOak;374317]For those that carry a PM9 or CM9 in an IWB holster, how many spare mags do you carry and how do you carry them? IWB? Loose in a pocket? (Which pocket?) In a pocket holster?

I live in Phoenix. From Mid June to the end of August 'Normal' is 103. For the last two months, almost every day has been 105 to 110 and quite a few days were 113 to 118. 'Winter' is officially considered to be when the overnight low goes below 60. LOL Looking at all record temperatures, it can be 70 degrees or higher any day of the year.

Ok, so I got on a bit of a rant, sorry.

What I am trying to say is the for 3 to 4 months in the Summer, dressing to best carry is a difficult objective. Dressing to endure the heat is a very high priority. That being said, cotton pants (Dockers) and jeans that are heavy and would tend to be better for holding their shape and thus holding magazines in a stable, secure position and being thick enough to avoid printing, are not the best choice for enduring the heat. Lighter fabrics such as linen and silk, especially shorts, are more comfortable but are more flexible and thus would allow a mag loose in a pocket to flop around and to print although I'm not sure that a mag printing is that much of a problem, wear caused by the sharp edges might be.

The upside is that Hawaiian/Camp shirts are great and cover even my 4" 686 without printing, unless I bend over the wrong way.

I'm new to carrying concealed so I would appreciate your experience with carrying mags.

Winter (it is actually only a concept here, never actually happens LOL), from Late September into May, jeans are reasonable so everyday is less of a problem but dress slacks are.

                        Thanks![/QU

The key is a good belt. Start there, and whatever fabric your pants/shorts are made of will nearly not matter.

                            Spot on OvalNut.

Many guys go around with no belt or don't like wearing belts. I hate going without, always have, not sure why.
I've thought about sewing belt loops on my sweat pants. I'm not much for sweat pants but they are the comfort ticket for a full time sitter. Easy on, easy off and no seams to chaffe one's back side as it were.

But no place to hang important stuff. I never wear them away from home, just around the house and shop. PM45 on the ankle becomes primary. (not good but better than being nekkid.)

This little pouch is sized for 380 but I can confirm a CM9 6 round mag fits just fine. It has a belt loop too though I usually just carry it in my left front cargo pants pocket.

I carry my CM9 usually in a PJs IWB between 3-4 oclock,(preferred)(I sometimes will tuck shirt over the grip just enough to conceal) sometimes front pocket carry also; my phone is usually worn on left side belt ahead of a horizontal Leatherman marked pouch. CM has 7+1, w/8 in the pouch; between practice/competition with the CM9, I feel confident w/16 rounds of Critical Defense.
