New CM9 Range Report

Just about any semi auto requires a break in period. Funny I had no issues with my cm9. Heck I took it straight out of the box and ran 100 trouble free rounds. Thin easy to carry. I am a revolver guyas well and picked this up for the same reasons you did. Run it you won't be disappointed I use walmart uncle mikes size 4 pocket holster

The more trigger time I get on this gun the more I am amazed at how sweet it runs . It almost has me tempted to pick up the cw or tp9. The round count is something I battle with vs the glock double stack. Its almost like The glock 27 or 26 is like the kahr cm9 bigger brother.

Yes I don't think you need the followers but in my opinion they help make feeding smoother and they won't break. I didn't mean to put a bad taste in your mouth. I have 100% trust in the CM9 and I know it will always fire when I need it to. I was disappointed in its accuracy at first but all of a sudden it started hammering bulls eyes. It is so good now that it is boring. Nothing to tinker with.

unless you have an older version kahr, the follower issues is now behind us. Kahr has reworked the feed ramp which was the culprit, not a defective follower. Most followers in mose semi9's are polymer, as their job isd not to take a hammering from the feed ramp b ut to propery bring the round sup to be feedintothe chamber, time and time again. I have broke two followersin over 34K rounds and I finally a few years back sent it back to kahr to get a rampectomy. ..My opinion is this, if you bust one follower,give the gun one more chance to please you, sometimes just shooting in a gun provides that neccessary clearance to be perfect, but if it busints a second follower, indeed call kahr, they will issue a pickup and and do it right. same our bused followers. there is a reason why kahrs asks one to give the gun 200 rounds of good ammo downrange before panicking. Also if one would just read and do the prep your kahr thread on this forum, it will help you alot and make that first shoot a good and fun one. To often we take a gun out of the box and expect allto be ok, It shouldbe but again don't trust it to be. If you do the prep thread and go through your weapon before that first shoot, you might just be surprised to see some things you will find that was left behind. ASSUME NOTHING. Shoot good ammo, not junk sh!t, If you can afford to break in with a box of 50 defense rounds, DO SO. These rounds are hot and will work the action as it should be worked...Shoot close to, get good at 5-7 yards, that is where this gun will save your life...

Well today, after over 2 months of not shooing at all and not shooting my PMJ9 I went t6o the range to shoot just my PMJ9. I put 100 rounds through my PMJ9 and never a hiccup, and as usual, the gun did its part but I certainly had them all over the fokking target. It was embarrassing tosay the least..At 7 yards I can keep all of my rounds inside the FBI "Q" target,but wow they are all overthe fokking place... I can holestlysay that after over 35K rounds through this gun I shooi8t not much better than the very first 100 rounds. Ain't the gun, I have always know that, ut when I tell an owener that kahrs trigger is loooong by desighn it is and that s my problem. I have stated before my tuned glock 43 shootscircles around my PMJ9 and I truly ove that gun but it is just a tad to big all around for good jeans pocket carry where as my PMJ9 has always been in my front pockewt ready to go. I accept the piss poor accuracy of my shootig of my PMJ9, so no real complaints. This gun just seems to refuse to go bang when I shoot it to, and that makes me feel good about carrying it..I will take it to Naples florida this winter as they ahve the ALAMO shlting range in Naples and I will be gfoing there with my wife to shoot every Monday which is free ladies day...

Haven't shot for a little while and wont for a while. Had a motorcycle wreck on Septmber 20th. Left foot is still in one of those stylish boot things!
I have been storing up ammo for the next outing.
