Black Finish on Slides?

I've recently decided that I can't live without a PM40, so I've been looking at various offerings over at Gunbroker. Some of the better offers are in the "Diamond" black finish. I'm not familiar with the Kahr coated steel slides (both my Kahr pistols had SS slides), so I was wondering if anyone could offer feedback on the durability of the black finish.

Don't know about durability but it looks a lot better IMO

I have the Birdsong coating on my MK, and after 7 years of mostly pocket carry, it still looks good.
