Not to be technical but that's an extractor and that's a fine idea. I polish my barrel and barrel hood but never thought to polish the extractor.
I'm not near good enough to do the rest like your doing but the barrel shines up pretty nice.

i have no idea why i called it an ejector

in my defense it was 2:00 am with aching fingers and being tired didn't help

now, if all goes according to plan i should have the frame and newly installed trigger back in a couple of weeks

i had to dedicate all my time to the trigger in order to get it ready to send back to Kahr - once it's in i won't be able to do too much with it

just to clarify Bawanna, that barrel is NOT the original barrel that came with that 92F - i bought a stainless steel INOX barrel and swapped it out after some polishing - i don't think i could get that result simply by polishing the barrel that came with the 92F

I was just talking to an officer here about that who was working plain clothes and wearing his 92.
First thing he said is it had to be an aftermarket barrel. So I won't run my 92 barrel on the spinning wheel.
I also recall I've cold blued several officer barrels back when we carried 92's and they blued up really nice. A sure sign that they are NOT stainless.
Thanks for confirming our beliefs, I'll find something else to mess with, not like there's any shortage of that.

my Beretta 92 has history with me - it was the first Beretta firearm that i ever purchased - that was back in 2008 and since I've added their Cheetah, Cougar and a Px4 to my small collection, all terrific firearms too - I just got an email from Kahr and my CM9 frame shipped out today and should be here TOMORROW - Next Day service, awesome

needless to say im pretty excited, i've already been looking over some more Kahr firearms

I went to Beretta Armorer school many years ago. 3 day class. Great instructor. I think we spent probably half the time looking for springs flying all over the room.

Wasn't half an hour in and a guy (another guy from my dept) launched the recoil spring from across the aisle 4 or 5 seats away. Smacked me right in the head.

Rule was look for 5 minutes and then go to the instructors tool box and get a new one. I found a lot of springs in my chair when I got out of it each evening.

A month ago I took a 92 slide apart for a guy here that wanted to get it cerakoted. Amazing how we can forget stuff over the years when we don't do it often.
Getting that safety with the springs and stuff back in was kind of a challenge.

Beretta has a great history itself, all those years, family owned. Hard to beat that. Have to look again I think it's like 500 years plus.

i lived in Italy back in the early 80's and my wife is from Italy - I met her at a little beach side resort town just north of Rome (Castiglione della Pescaia) - we try to get back out there every few years, she still has close family living there

i always wanted to visit the Fabbrica de Armi plant in Brescia (Gardone Val Trompia) but it's located way up north near the alps in Switzerland - maybe next time we plan a trip to Milano i can set aside a day to drive there - i've heard you can reserve a tour of the plant, that would be awesome, it is over 500 years old

im pretty proficient repairing most of my Beretta's, fortunately most of the repairs to be had can also be found with someone on YouTube - that's how i learned to fully take apart my Ruger GP100 when i decided to polish it up - one video I found had the entire disassembly process broken down step by step, very easy to follow

well, since you're an armorer I know who to reach out too when something goes wrong, lol, actually my nieces husband is also an armorer but i've never seen his work - im pretty much self taught, YouTube has been my friend with many of my projects but i think im smart enough to know when something might be over my head - kind of like the trigger with the Kahr - i didn't think i have the knowledge or proper tools to confidently remove the trigger, one of the main reasons i decided to send it back and let the people who work on them everyday change out the trigger for me - plus my eyesight isn't getting any better, small flying parts will doom me

since i use my Px4 as one of my CCW firearms i installed the low profile safety levers (decocker only), changed out the plastic trigger for one made of steel, added a steel guide rod - it's pretty slim lined now, carries very well, no hangups to concern myself with, also a very underrated firearm - once i get the Kahr broken in a bit better it'll probably be one of my pocket carry guns

A parts changer. To be a good Gunsmith and they are getter more and more rare everyday, now your talking art form.

You Tube is my friend too. Especially after many years gone by after the class. I felt all powerful after the class but that's all worn off now.

I do still have a few replacement parts if you need a spring, not much but a few things.
