I've shot the Glock 27 and the recoil was next to nill. Very pleasant gun to shoot. I also shot my son-in-laws 357mag light Jframe S&W and it was brutal in the hand. It shot 38's just fine but the 357 was painful and extreemly unpleasant. Hopefully this little PM40 will resemble the Glock more than the Smith Jframe or it may be up for sale. I am optimistic that it will be just fine, based on the input I have been gathering. I would have purchased the Glock, except for it's size. The PM40 is a sexy thing.

I considered the PM40 but ended up with the PM9 instead. I didn't get a chance to shoot one, but I figured I wouldn't like the recoil in a 2 finger package. I've had a Glock 26, Glock 27, and a Glock 33. I wouldn't consider the recoil on the 27 or 33 next to nill, but both are controllable. I would figure the extra 4 oz on the Glock 27 over the PM40 would make a substantial difference in the perceived recoil.

I am only a week or two from knowing for myself. It sounds like everyone's perceived recoil is as different as the gun. I'm sure I will man-up and learn to adapt either way.

these guys are right, I in no way was trying to scare u off with the buying of the PM40, as it is a super gun but you are going to notice your shooting a 40 cal out of this kahr over anygun u have ever had in 40 caliber. Doesnt' mean you can't shoot it, doesn't mean you bought the wrong gun. I just didn't want you to have false dreams either. the 40 cal was never meant to be a ***** round either AND IT AIN'T.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Sounds like it will feel snappier than the 27 and I will need to adapt. I hope it is not overly unpleasant. Anxious to get it.
