  • New Guy's PM9

This is my second Kahr. My first was a PM40 a few years back. It had a few problems like the magazine falling out after every shot. The PM9 has been prefect so far.

Congrats on the purchase of such a fine pistol. You might want to check out Jockos "Proper prep of a new Kahr " in the Kahr Tech sub-forum. Loads of good info there!

So far I shot about 400 rounds without a single problem. I even had my son, who has never fired a gun shoot it and the gun ran prefect.

Sorry you had problems with your PM40. It is a shame because the muzzle flip is much less on the 40...ha ha. I wish you good luck with the 9.

            skater4790,
            Congrats on the new pistol.
Is that magazine extension commercial or custom made?

Man I'm jealous! I wish my PM9 has been perfect from day 1. That's nor really fair thou, I think I've isolated my problems two two items, one being a magazine and the other the ammo I used.

Looking at your all black I'm wondering if I shouldn't have gone that way. At first I really liked the two tone but that black just looks sweet. I thought they came with black triggers and slide stops thou? Did you change them out?

                Congrats/Santa

Great choice for your second Kahr pistol! I dunno know if you're going to carry that one... those lil 9s conceal like a dream with an IWB holster. I'm curious about the mag extension too. Santa still might hear me?
                Got Kahr?

I was also curious about the trigger and slide release being silver instead of black. My PM4044N is all black, trigger, slide release. The stainless part of the mag was the only shinny part. Is the 9mm normally different in this way (trigger and slide release)? I have not checked on line recently to compare the different models. Interesting.

Congrats on the PM9, skater. I got mine a few weeks ago, and I love it. I'm also curious about the mag extensions.

The mag extension is aluminum and I purchased it from Sigpower.com. The trigger and slide release I polished with fine sandpaper. I did not remove the trigger from the gun because I read somewhere on this site not to mess with it so I left alone. I carry my pm9 inside a crossbreed holster. I never carried a gun in IWB holster when I worked plainclothes in N.Y.C. because they were so uncomfortable, but this holster is so comfortable that I forget I have it on.

Skater, everybody wants to know about the mag extension. I've got the Pearce black extension and it's awesome, but I haven't seen any white ones. Also, if that's a 9094, did you install a different trigger? Thanks!

The mag extension is aluminum, the camera flash makes it look white. The trigger and the lever are polish. az4783054 posted the link for the mag extension a few post back.
