  • New PM9 1st Time Range Report

Last night I prepared my new PM9 for the range. I followed ALL the suggestions that were in the Tech section, including cleaning and racking the slide 500 times.
I purchased 250 rounds of Walmart Federal 115 gr 9mm FMJ for break-in. At my WalMart they were $10.47 for a box of 50.
I got to the range and decided I would load 5 rounds into each mag (regular and extended) just to even out how the box was shot. The target I used had 5 individual targets on each. So I shot two mags or 10 rounds into each sub-target.
To summarize, the gun was amazing. Not ONE mis-hap, FTE, FTF, nada zip zilch problems. 200 rounds not one hiccup.
Here is the last target I shot (rounds 151-200) I shot this target at 25 feet with 10 rounds in each sub target.
I'm a happy camper....now to get some SD rounds into it and get it into service.

Good for you pal. I'd say your in business. Those targets look mightly fine.

Just makes my day to hear about happy campers, a category you obviously fall into easily.

      Enjoy.

Glad to read the positive range report on your new PM9.

Off hand slow fire on those last rounds? No matter, way better than what I'm capable of @ 7-8 yards.
