The mags from CTD are stamped 9-6 over Kahr the same as the 6 rd. mag that came with my PM9. They come in Kahr packaging.
I bought 3 mags from CTD and two of the three split down the back seams during my first range session with a NIB pistol.
I wrote the negative review that you read. I'm surprised they actually posted it on their site.
The two split mags are currently at Kahr for evaluation along with my PM9. If Kahr has any issues with the mags being from CTD and not directly from them, I will certainly post their findings.

Thanks again guys. Its kinda a tough day here. I really want to get out and try this thing out.. I am taking the advise and going to wait until I can get to napa and clean it out with break cleaner before I take it to the range. I want to make sure I do my part to take care of this thing. Anyway it's a good time to get caught up on some honey doos.

I was reading the sticky about preparing the Kahr for the first time out. It mentions getting (3M high pressure NON-CHLORINATED brake cleaner). I have been looking on line including the napa sight and can't find it.

One place said it may have been discontinued the product. I will try napa tomorrow but is there an alternative that won't damage the poly and still clean the pistol up?

        thanks for the help

It's still at my Napa store. Many also buy the CRC non cholorinated spray and it works just as good. The 3M is not a must onlyt spray cleaner. I found it to be the most pwoerful of all pressures sprays I have used and that wasnot many different brands either, so to answer your qeustion, #M is still available at NAPA but I think alsl so is CRC non cholorinatedspray to. both close in price. Pretty sure Wal mart sells teh CRC brand, My auto zone sells it also.
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Ok thanks. I'll check at napa in the morning. I was just concerned about the poly. Is that why you specified non chlorinated? I have a can of brake cleaner but its not non chlorinated.

The CM9 is a great gun Thumbs....I have over 600 rounds though mine with no malfunctions at all. I have even done some single handed and weak handed shooting limp wristing it...still no failures.

I have some of that Balistal but I do not like it, it has a real bad smell to it, but some folks really like it. I rarely use it.
Good ole hoppes number 9 works for me 90% of the time, and It does not smell so bad.

Since this is my first Kahr. Any words of wisdom? Anything I should do before I try er out? I'll field strip and clean but anything else?

I do have a couple of questions for ya though. May sound dumb but ..... How do you load the cm9 to full capacity? Is there do's and don'ts? Do you strip a round from the mag into the chamber then reload the mag? I was told not to drop a round in the chamber then insert the mag.

Also what weight bullets seem to run best in the CM?

Almost forgot. What magazines work in the cm9? Are they just for the cm or are they the same mags as the pm9?

                thanks for the help
With most guns, you MUST strip a round off the mag, then refill the mag to capacity.

Plenty of products, but higher costs. I use GunScrubber by Birchwood Casey, 13 oz. can was about $12 going from a bad memory. I use it on alloy, ss, polymer, plastic etc.

Don't drop a round in the chamber and then release the slide. It's hell on the extractor and can break it. The extractors are designed to grab the cartridge rim as the case slides up the breech face.
Start with the slide locked back, then insert the magazine, release the slide and chamber a round, then drop the mag and add a round. Make sure the rounds in the magazine are all the way to the rear. The 9mm's really can creep forward and sometimes take a dive instead of up the ramp.

                    Good luck and good shooting!

well know there are as many gun "cleaning" products out as there are guns, so I anhd others here when we recommend a product, u can trust that it is an ok product but it is not gospel that this product is the only one that will do what one says either. So if your comfortable with what u using, then indeed stick with it. It is not rocket science cleaning these guns, They ain't precision watchs etc, Take what members here say wityh a grain of salt and compare it with what u do and more than likely we are all traveling down the same path..

Some might use Hoppe's, some CRC, some Birchwood, Some 3M but the end result for allis one clean gun, that is what were all after..

I think you will like both... Kahr makes a great gun and the folks on here are pretty good also.

Several brands of the spray cleaner have pretty much the same contents. After trying a couple I ended up getting the Walmart brake cleaner. As long as it is Non-Chlorinated you are okay.

The chlorinated is a thing from the past and I haven't even seen any, but from what I've read, it will mess up your poly frame. Just be sure to wear eye protection and do it outside away from pets. It would not be good to have your adoring puppy looking up at you when you spray this stuff.

Yep napa has the 3m stuff for about 4.50.
I cleaned and lubes the cm up and took it out to give er a run. Well to say the least not so good at all. I think I know what the problem is. Pretty sure it's the ammo. I shot 20 rounds and had 18 failures. Not concerned yet. I had to shoot my reloads. I didn't have any factory stuff. I think th oal is to long. They work fine in the Glock but not the Kahr. Any way I got some factory stuff on the way back. They measured 1.50. Mine ar e 1.70. I reseated the reloads and racked them throough the cm and they ran fine. I'll take the factory stuff tomorrow and shoot it first. Then I'll try the reloads.

The cm felt good in the hand and was just fine to control. I didn't shoot for accuracy since I had the problem. I was just trying to get it to shoot. I really think tomorrow will be just fine.

My new CM will be here in 2 days. After all of the good info here I'll have it cleaned lubed and ready to go real quick. I'll take out several different loads and some hand loads to give it a good shakedown. I fully expect it to run perfect to near perfect.

as u well know is not indicative of whether a gun is going to work. Best advice I can give you is break it in with new fmj ammo get it running perfect, then experiment with your reloads. right now u don;'t know whether it is the reloads or the gun, but 18 out of 20 tells me it is the ammo..
