I've been looking at a PM45 for my new carry pistol. My biggest question is how hard is the recoil and can a person with med-lg hands wrap all of his fingers on the grip. I've shot a PM40, I liked it, but I couldnt fit my pinky on the grip with the flush mag. Thanks

Congratulations on being the first to post here! We have not linked the site up yet off the main page.
I find the PM45 to fit my hand better than the other PM models because it is just enough larger to provide a more full grip. I would call my hands average sized. If you did not mind the 40 recoil, the 45 should work fine for you. The PM is on my short list to add to my collection.

Wow! You do not mind the recoil on the PM40? I think it hurts! I shot a friends PM45 and found it to have less recoil then the PM40. I have large hands as well and do not mind the little pinky issue. I suppose it is all a matter of personal choice. As an aside, have you tried the P380 yet?

I have a PM40 and love it, I don't find the recoil to be an issue at all. I have worked construction for 40+ years and my hands are fairley tough. The most rounds I have fired through it in one session is 64 and they were all 180gr.
I also shoot a Rohrrbaugh R9s which is the smallest and lightest 9mm made.
If you don't like the PM40 recoil donn't ever shoot a S&W 340PD with 357mags in it, that has some pretty stout recoil.

I was bothered by my right hand smallest finger not fiting on the grip using the 6 round magazine for my PM9. Yesterday I shot 100 rounds to bring my total rounds to 300, and I am getting comfortable with the little finger curling below the bottom of the magazine.

Go to the thread "PM snapshots" and view the pictures by lunde.
He is using Pearce magazine extenders. Without using them, my question would be do they decrease the comfort when conceal/carrying? I purchased the PM9 because my beloved XDM 9mm was too bulky for ease and comfort of concealment.

PM 45 recoil
I think the PM 40 is heavy. I have both the PM/P 45. Recoil on PM 45
is not bad at all. I carry the PM 45 most of the time. I wish they made
a different mag base for it. The one with the finger rest, but they say
No. Some day maybe? Can't go wrong with the PM 45 IMO. Follow
the breakin. Good luck
