I picked up my CM9 on Weds. and brought it home. I flushed all the gunk with brake cleaner and lubed it. I worked the slide a few hundred times as well as getting familiar with the trigger. I made some targets of 8x11 paper with one circle drawn from the outside of a roll of tape (about 4") and a smaller circle (about 1 1/2). On thursday I took my new Kahr and 100 WWB to a buddys and from the first shot I was impressed. First shot was on the paper and the following in the mag were in the circle or just outside. I found from 3-15 yrds if I focused on the sites and trigger pull the gun would shoot where I wanted. I found at 15 it would keep all on the paper which for me is pretty good no matter the size of the gun. I found at 7 I could print them all inside the tape circle. I am very pleased. I look forward to tomorrow put another 100 rounds through it and then trying out some carry ammo. I havent made my mind up what to carry in it. I am open to suggestions. I wonder if the CM9 tend to prefer a certain weight bullet or a certain brand.

camsdaddy,I have been experimenting with 147gr. Winchester PDX1 Bonded as well as the Law Enforcement 50 to a box Winchester Ranger Bonded 147gr. that can be found online as well as www.ammunitiontogo.com .
They are obviously heavy for caliber but I find them more controllable than the plus P 124 gr. Gold Dots.
YMMV.
Dont overlook the Hornady Critical Defense,Speer Gold Dots,or the Remington Golden Sabers.
All of these are all premium rounds that can ruin the bad guys day three ways from Sunday but you just have to experiment on what does best for your pistol/comfort ratio.

UPDATE: I went this morning and ran 100 more WWB flawlessly. Amazed doesnt begin to describe. I ran one mag full of Fed 124 Hydra shock JHP +P+ (P9HS3G1) it shot fine personally not crazy about +p+. I also ran 20-30 Fed C9BP 115 JHP. I was impressed with them as well. When I shot slow and deliberate from 7 yrds the bullets acted like magnets trying to jump through the same hole. I figure I will will carry the Fed 115 (found locally) untill I can save my nickles and make a purchase of some heavier rounds.

yes camsdaddy, the bullet magnet thing is about what my PM9 does to. Now if u believe me I have some nice ocean front proprty here in Indiana that I would like to sell you.
all crap aside that is very good shooting. leave the +P+ stuff in the box, no need for that stuff.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I thought it a little much. I was real pleased with the standard velocity stuff. This little gun shoots far better than I do. I have only ran a little over 200 rounds and I am more accurate with the CM9 than I was with my Glock 26 or my 642 J frame. I am a happy camper

Great update! Even with what you have available locally, that's a nicer, and certainly more potent, package for your pocket than any of the pricier .380 ACP pocket pistols. Congratulations! It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.

I say YOU WILL NEVER BE AS ACCURATE WITH YOUR KAHR AS U ARE WITH YOUR GLOCK. Two totally different trigger systems. Both good but kahrs is so smooth and soooooo looooooooonb by design . I shoot my G19 super compared to my PM9, but I accept that to, as my G19 rests on the vanity in my home where my PM9 rests in my front pocket damn near 24/7. That my friend is the difference of a personal defense gun over just a gun. If it ain't on u, it can't help you.Originally posted by camsdaddy View PostI thought it a little much. Kahr doesn't recommend +P+ not that it won't take it but I think it is more of a lawyer thing in thier manual . I have always felt that if one had to have that +P+ sh-t in a 9mm , he should have just bought a kahr 40 cal
Lots of great +P ammo out there for your kahr though... Gold Dots being one of them, Corbon being another. Kahrs are not ammo sensitive, so find what u like and work perfect and then just carry it and forget about all those tests etc.. jocko, what do YOU carry your PM9 in - in your front pocket 24/7? I know you have probably posted about this before, but trying to search all of your posts is an impossibility!Originally posted by jocko View PostI shoot my G19 super compared to my PM9, but I accept that to, as my G19 rests on the vanity in my home where my PM9 rests in my front pocket damn near 24/7. just a plain ol desantis nemesis and a Uncli Mikes #3. I hate searches also. Ihave a few of those high dollar leather pocket rigs but just keep coming back to the above two mentioned, they IMO contour much bhetter and certainly faster.. Yeah. I just bought this El Paso horsehide holster. Nice. I like the full coverage, yet leaving a combat grip. But it is big, makes the bulge in your pocket that much bigger and kind of gun shaped, and it is not real easy to draw from.Originally posted by jocko View Postjust a plain ol desantis nemesis and a Uncli Mikes #3. I am wearing some loose jeans today, and it and the pocket squirm around when I try to draw the gun. I'll try it in a tighter pair tomorrow and see if it improves. Beautiful holster, but I wonder what the return policy is where I bought it.....
By the way, why the two similar holsters? What makes you decide on one or the other on a particular day? Different fit in your pockets?Very interesting...

now truthfully that looks like one really nice little rig. It looks soft to. am I right or wrong there. no pocket holster is going to be a fast draw area, some might do better than others. certainly the desantis and uncle mikes is not a fast draw rig but it covers the trigger completely and I don't have to dress for it either and OI think just being aware of wher eur at and the situation governs more if ur ready or not. I like the looks of that rig pictured but if it ain't soft conforming I will stick woith what I have.
No reason why two similar holsters, I think I have had the uncle mikes far longer than the desantis, I think the uncle mikes is even thinner and I seem to like that. I hate bulk. It might print a tad more but I stuff a hanky in front of it to give it alittle different look. so far so good. That printing stuff really never bothered me much either. If a man is looking there I am pissed, If a gal is looking there, then I am all smiles...
