KAHR PM9 with Crimson Trace Laser is Awesome

I bought a new KAHR PM9 with the Crimson Trace Laser a month ago. I have now put 500 rounds through it and can honestly say that this is an awesome pistol. It only took me about 10 shots to sight in the laser perfectly. It is so easy and enjoyable to shoot with the laser. I just returned from an indoor range where I shot 175 rounds. Most of the time I was able to shoot the bullseye out of a target at 25 feet multiple times with rounds from the same magazine in a 2" circle. At 50 feet it wasn't difficult to shoot six rounds within a 4" circle and at 100 feet, I was able to hit a 9" target with most of the rounds. I'm by no means and expert shooter but this pistol is extremely accurate and easy to shoot with the laser. The laser allows you to keep both eyes open while shooting. I also find it more relaxing to shoot the PM9 and that in turn helps keep the laser more steady on the target. I've tried many different 9mm semi-auto pistols such as the Springfield XDM, S&W M&P, Kimber Solo, and so on. Although I was able to shoot these guns well, I find the KAHR PM9 with the Crimson Trace Laser light years better then the others. My PM9 was manufactured in 2011 and I don't have any fit and finish problems with the laser. It also stays perfectly sighted even for me even though I carry it every day and have been to the range 3 times during the past month. Speaking of carry, I found it to be the only 9mm small enough to truly pocket carry. I'm also not a salesman, but I highly recommend this pistol.

You may not be a salesman, but your experience sure sells! Glad to hear of another owner with a PM9 with CTL that's having as much success as many on this site, myself included. I'd definitely say it's Kahr's bread and butter gun, only to be surpassed by the CM9 (eventually). Continued best of luck wishes to you and holler if you need anything!

oh ur gonna shoot alot better with the ct on the gun. only one thing to lineup on the target. I have a group I shot wityh my model 342 Smith about 10 years ago (j FRAME) WITH A CT LASER GRIP ON IT AT 10 YARDS, 50 SHOOT GROUP NONE OUT OF THE 4" CENTER.

Trust me, no way I could even get half this good with sights. The rubber grip lase ron the JU frame was absolutley no bulk neither. I don't think I have read of a shooter never shooting better with the ct on any gun. As u well know to that dot will certainly show shooter errors to. It it moves all over hells' half acre, one kcan expect to miss the barn.

Took my CM9 with the Crimson Laserguard to the Charlotte Dixie Gun Show to see if I could get a belt holster and a pocket holster for it. No one had a belt holster made for it with the laser. I finally made an order for one with a holster maker at the show. When I get it I'll report my opinion on it.

I did get a pocket holster that fit and it works well. I provided picture of both later.

While showing the CM9 to the different holster and belt makers, I got some rave reviews of the gun. They really liked it and several expressed a desire to own one.

test your shooting without the laser now that you've used it awhile. i had a viridian c5l on my xdm compact and found out quickly areas i needed to improve on, the laser made me a better shooter and i found when i took the laser off my technique improved so much that at that point i was more accurate open sights then with the laser on. sold it an havent used a laser since.

After shooting a good bit with the CT on my CM9 the other day, I started shooting with the sights and was much more efficient. The laser is valuable to me as a get the &^%$ off me tool when I can not aim.

Sometimes you can get lucky if you find the right deal. I got my PM9 with a CTL, Crossbreed mini-tuck and a Mitch Rosen holster all for $725. All were very slightly used, but in absolutely mint condition.

I just cashed my second rebate check from the recent CT rebate program.

The wife and I both CCW PM9's with the CT laser, a great tool for CCW in my opinion.

I like them so much we put them on a 442 J frame and a M&P9c to.

I'd really like to have them on other CCW guns but they're a bit pricey for 1911's, but eventually I'll probably go down that road. Possibly the same for a 4" 629 I use as a woods gun in the Rockies. Personally I think the CT is a couple notches better then night sites which I also have on most all our CCW pistols. It's harder to get night sights on the revolvers.

Since she's a less experienced shooter I make sure she shoots with the laser off on the M&P from time to time to make certain she doesn't forget how to use her irons, just in case. The M&P model has a handy off/on switch.

Great option to have in the tool box!

Just one man's opinion... I'm a total believer that there are many values of using a laser for practice & training. I use an ArmorLaser on one of my P3ATs and will on occasion mount a CT LaserGrip on my Glock 26. But, I have one big reservation for carry; a bright light situation where you're looking for your dot when you should be shooting. I've read statistics and really do believe that most civilians using a handgun in self defense will have an encounter at point and shoot distances. I do see advantages for low light encounters at distance.

I do think they are really good as a dry fire tool. I will shoot with one on occasion but will not rely on it as a self defense tool. It is a piece of electronic technology and WILL let you down at some point. Battery, component burnout or failure to remain sighted in due to being knocked around. Iron sights are much more reliable.

Most people work very hard at assuring reliability and familiarity of their carry weapon/ammo and I see these lasers as the weak link both. I know my iron sights will always be ready to go even after all kinds of abuse and neglect.
