  • New Kahr Cap Break-in Period

To compliment my new PM9, I just received a brand new Kahr cap in the mail yesterday. Once I finally tore (CUT) through the tons of shipping tape from the box, I quickly retrieved my black cap with smashing gold lettering that shouted "KAHR."

It came complete with a set of instructions to help with the break-in period:

    1. Loosen and refasten velcro strap 500 times.
    2. Place cap on head and remove briskly at least 200 times. Depending on the head's size and shape, your new cap may require more than 200 repetitious removals.

God is good, ALL the time!

Don't forget the proper lube. I recommend Brylcreem.

Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Gold lettering??? Mine are all silver!... or so I thought... kind of a goldish silver. HMMM...

I keep one in the van for use at the range... protection from those Kahr "love taps". I have one in my closet(My wife didn't want a cap) and one at hand for going outdoors... light duty... have other caps for heavy sweating and such!

      Wynn

On closer inspection... the inside portion of the lettering IS more gold-looking.

And don't forget you may need to sand down your forehead a little bit here and there...wouldn't want it to hang when you press the hat release button.

If the cap sticks, do you have to squeeze your head in a vise?
                  Very interesting...

Don't forget if you still have problems getting that cap off to let someone else try it on and see if they can duplicate the issue

@#%$# At the cost of these hats I don't think and end user should have to do all this fluff and buff hocus pocus. I don't know why they can't make a gosh darn hat mil spec and be done with it. I know I"m not limp wristing it and its lubed plenty well.
I'm sending mine back, there's a loose thread inside where the beanie usually goes, mine didn't come with a beany either. @#%#$^
