  • New to forum - New PM9 - Pics

I have been reading the forum for a couple weeks now. Lots of good info on here.

I picked up my PM9 today. Can't wait to take it out for a spin. Also ordered a Silent Thunder about a week and a half ago. Looking forward to that arriving. I'll get a few pics up as soon as I get a chance.

Welcome and thanks for coming out of the bushes! Great combo you have there, let us know how the pm9 runs.

Welcome aboard. It's nice to see someone choose the "premium" version over the economy model so popular now, that just anyone can "afford" a Kahr.

Of course, I didn't have a choice when I got mine, but I wanted the black one with Night Sights, anyhow.

This forum is a great place to learn stuff about Kahrs and other things... and to socialize. Not all of the people here are curmudgeons or hermits... some can be downright helpful... sometimes.

        Welcome to KahrTalk!

Yeah, why the PM9 over the CM9 (if you don't mind saying)? Got the PM9 myself without regrets but the CM9 was not readily available at the time. PM9 has replaced a lot of my P3AT pocket carry and also a bit of my Glock 26 AIWB carry.

Yup yup! I still smile every time I pick up my PM9.

The CM9 wasn't out yet when I bought my PM9, but I think I might have made the same decision anyway. I kind of tend towards a "Cadillac syndrome" when it comes to my carry firearms. So sue me...

I conidered the Chevy, but opted for the Caddy. I figured what's another couple hundred. Besides, I like my guns black. :001_tt2:

A couple questions. The slide is really hard to pull back. I literally cant pull it back and push the slide release up to hold it back. I have to use an empty mag to get the slide to lock back. Is this normal? Also, the mags of course do not drop free, they have to be pulled out. Looking in the grip I see some plastic that sticks out. Can I remove that? Or should I try the squeezing the mag trick?

The first couple of times I also had difficulty. You have to use as much finesse as you do muscle. You'll get the hang of it. My Kahr PM9 is the hardest to rack of my several semi autos.
