  • Finally!!! Range report!

PM9 9093. Ser IC95** purchased 09/30/2011. Prepped by cleaning and racking slide over 600 times . No polishing of ramp or chamber. Rubber stick on decal grips applied.

Magazines used: three 6 rounders (2 had Pearce extensions)
    1 7 rounder
    1 8 rounder

Ammunition used : 100 rounds WWB 115 gr FMJ
100 rounds WWB NATO 124 gr FMJ

First i Shot the 115 gr: 33 rounds at 3yds, 67 rounds at 7 yards.

I had 2 nosedives during the first hundred rounds. Both occurred in the 7
round mag and both were the 3rd round shot out of the mag.....definitely
seems to be a Mag issue or a very strange coincidence. Accuracy was
awesome, tore a ragged hole out of the bullseye at 3 yards and put 33 rounds
at a time on 2 targets at 7 yards within the 10 ring and bullseye with only a
couple fliers into the 9 ring.

Next I shot the NATO 124 gr: 33rnds at 3 yards, then 33 rounds at 7 yards, and finally 34 rounds at 15 yards. No malfunctions from the 7 rounder this time but I did have a FTF that appeared to be due to me hitting the mag release just enough on one of the 6 rnders that the mag dropped a fraction. Slapped it up closed the slide and no more issues.

NATO 124gr rounds seemed more accurate at 3 yards and the WWB 115 gr seemed
more accurate (for me anyway) at 7 yards. The NATO 124 shot good for me at
15 yards. I started to string vertically but had about at least 12 out of 33 bulls eyes the rest being in the 10 ring and a few in the 9 ring at 15 yards.

Bottom line...I am very happy with this little gun. Very accurate. 3 malfunctions with 2 seeming mag related and 1 being operator error.

Accuracy was exceptional especially considering I have never shot a Kahr before. Once I get more familiar with the trigger pull......look out

6 rounders with Pearce extensions were flawless
6 rounder with flat plate was flawless.
    8 rounder was flawless
7 rounder is iffy so far but will keep trying
Decal grips were comfortable and the gun was comfortable after 200 rounds.
Coulda shot 300 more with no problems.

Also on aside note, I also shot my LCP and I forgot how accurate that pistol can be. Shot ragged holes at 3and7 yards with blazer aluminum .

Just ordered a silent thunder holster for it but have been pocket carrying it no problems in cargo shorts........I'm a real happy camper sofar

Really good report Slick! If you like to fluff and buff, you might put a little shine on the ramp and chamber and Lube point 6 and when really smooth, rub grease into them.

The 7rd mag has been troublesome but can often be corrected with a little touch. There is a thread around about that tweak. Others more current can fill you in on it.

Nice report ... been carrying a PM9 since I got my plastic in '04, have never had an issue with it, no failures ever ... I've heard of problems with the mag dropping out, but I've never had that issue ... have fun shooting, would love to hear a folo-up if troubles continue ...

I'd love to shoot your Glock ... just hang it up there with the rest of the targets ... anon.

I have Pearce extensions on a couple other pistols, and like their fit and finish. They help for a more comfortable trip to the range. I prefer them over the Scherer brand on my glocks.

I usually prefer no extension when pocket carrying, and only use the mags with extensions when at the range or carrying IWB.

Not getting a Pinky finger on the grip doesn't bother me because I also have a PPK, an LCP, a Glock 27 and a Glock 30, so I am used to the way it feels shooting the smaller guns.
