  • Loving my PM9

i picked up a used PM9 after shooting a CW9 that a friend had on the range, and I admit that I thought I made a big mistake. It didn't appear to have many rounds through it, and my first outing was rough.

A little reading and research thanks to the community here, and it's become one of my favorite guns. My only complaint is the hatching on the back strap, but that's been solved thanks to a new Talon grip cover.

I also rented a K9 recently, and it was probably lucky for my marriage that they didn't have one in stock - that is a sweet shooter!

Seems like I'm enjoying these smaller pistols (and shooting them better) than the full size in my collection.

Any Kahr fans have a recommendation for a .22 in this same size? I wouldn't mind having something like a PM9 sized plinker so I can shoot that cheap ammo!

Another Southwest Ohio guy here who loves the PM9. But I gotta say, if you're shooting your Kahr better than your full-size pistols (Sigs, I'll guess), you're a gifted shooter. I'm not nearly as good at 25 yards with the PM9 as I am a Sig 239, HK P7M8, Colt Gold Cup or several other guns. But I'm plenty deadly with the PM9 inside 10 yards.

      Good to hear!

For what it's worth, check out the Walther P22 - it has a similar feel and very lightweight.

I absolutely love shooting mine, here's a side by side photo of the two.

I have a Phoenix Arms HP 22A. Nearly the same as my CM9, 10 round mag. Inexpensive and all American made.

Another P22 guy, eh? I love mine. A fun inexpensive little plinker.

How is the trigger and workmanship on that gun? I am wary because of the low price. I have been looking at the Deluxe Range Kit. But haven't found it for much less than m.s.r.p. Most places that list it are out of stock. If I could find it at a decent price, it looks like a great value.
            Very interesting...

Thanks - I will be on the lookout for a P22 next time I'm in a gun store. Reviews online seem fairly positive on the Walther.
