I finally received the new replacement recoil spring assembly from Kahr for my CM9. The problems that I was experiencing were failures to extract and failures of the slide to return to full battery. I'm happy to report after installing the new recoil spring assembly that I was able to run 100 rounds of mixed ammo through my CM9 with out a single failure of any kind. The replacement spring was one coil longer and quite a bit stiffer than the original. Jay did a great job of assisting me with fix.

Glad to hear that it all worked out.

You'd think for as long as the PM9 has been out that stupid bugs like this would be worked out and they'd ship with proper springs.

I love my Kahr, but come on... this is apparently a simple fix, and wouldn't cost them a dime to make right to begin with.

      Glad to hear it's working!

Maybe try trimming the old one to match the new one, then you'll have a spare?

The new one is longer, trimming the other one won't do much good

I smell what you're steppin' in, Thunder. This is a more than reputable firearm company that can't seem to get it right. I do not understand the problem. Either it is spring ''A'' or spring ''B''. Period... End of story. Come on Kahr. Even your CS seems to be confused over this more than simple matter...Mike :32:

I suspect that Kahr received a batch of defective recoil springs from one of their suppliers. Instead of issuing a recall they are replacing the recoil spring assembly on an as needed basis. It may be more cost effective, but it's tarnishing their reputation.
