", however, the flush mag failed to hold the slide open on the last round several times (Federal 115gr FMJ). Is this a common occurrence? Thanks all.[/QUOTE]

Kenny, I grip using both thumbs forward, hand high on the backstrap method. On most semi's, other than 1911's, that will cause the thumb to gently ride the slide stop lever. That is all to takes to cause this type of failure. I never worry about it because I shoot followup shots much more accurately with this grip. Now if it is just that mag and no other you may have a mag issue. Give it more time.

Thanks 340, that is also my current grip technique. I only suspect the mag because I do not get the same result when using the 7 round extended mag.

I will shoot it more this weekend, it's been a pleasure so far and I already love it more than my previous EDCs.

Hi; I just purchased a; Bianchi Model 100 Holster Professional Inside Waistband Size 9A IWB ; I'm med./thinner build; and I use it with a K9; great quality, not bulky, just
big enough, covers slide completely against my side, very comfortable and
            conceals well.
