  • T9 flat mag plate

So I'm thinking that I'd like to replace the plastic plates on my T9's 8 round mags with some flat metal ones. Just to make it a wee bit easier to conceal. Does anyone know which, if any, will work? Also, where to buy them? I'd assume from Kahr.

kahr manual shows that metal plate for the MK series mag, (6) round and it will fit the 8 round mag also. Gotta order it from kahr..
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Be sure to order both pieces.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

Both pieces? Sorry if it's a dumb question. I don't have a Kahr here to look at.

            Here's a link at Kahr: http://www.kahr.com/Parts/Kahr-PM9.asp

            $8.80 for each... $17.60!

But, if you search, you can find the base AND the lock plate for a cheaper price as a set:

            http://www.kahr.com/Magazines/Kahr-S...d-40-SandW.asp

            $15 for the two parts.

Search for this "Steel Magazine Base Kit"

            http://www.kahr.com/Magazines/2/Magazines.aspx

Some of this stuff is hard to find. I knew it was there and where to look.

Thank you very much! You people on this board are really very nice. Thanks for taking the time to post the links. I'm picking up the T9 on Tuesday night late, around 11pm. I'm not sure I'll sleep until then!

Very nice. I like how they bundle them together. Even an idiot could find them...except me lol.

Well do you have any pictures??? This was one of my pet peeves about the K9, they should have offered it with flush-fitting baseplates. I am potentially picking up T9 soon and would like to see how this looks.

Ya know, I never got around to doing it. It looks like the mag would still stick out a bit, but instead of plastic it would be metal. I decided to just forget it.

I know this is an old thread but I wanted to chime in as well. I, too, wish that Kahr made a flush plate mag for their T9 series guns. I took an metal plate off a different Kahr mag and it fits fine but as the previous post says, it still sticks out about 1/4 inch on the bottom and looks worse than the stock plastic bumpers.

Anyone else have this issue? I'm thinking of trying the make my own out of one of my spare mags. I really only need one for the carry mag. After that I don't much care. I'll let you know if I do it and how it works out.

I bought the MK40 metal bases for my 6-round P40 mags for CCW. I had to add an O-ring to keep the base plate and grip from pinching me, though. The .40 and 9mm mags can use the PM9 or MK40 base plates. There IS a difference between the magazine tubes at the top, though. I'll post my P40 mags:

O-ring size... I tried a 1/8" O.D. by 15/16" I.D. and that was too fat and loose and caused the magazine catch to bind. I got 3/32" OD and 3/4" inner diameter which works fine.
