From your description of your first outing with a 9mm all I can say is never pick up a 44 Magnum. Shooting it could cause an coronary infarction!
Seriously, the gun will get easier to to operate the more you shoot it. In a short period of time you'll master the beast and it will seem more like a ***** cat than a mountain lion.
