New CT40 Drops mag every single shot....

Brand new gun, drops mag EVERY SINGLE SHOT. gun has 20 rounds thru it this way. Done wasting ammo thru it. Not sending back to Kahr unless they pay shipping both ways.
Whats the fix? saw an old thread that it may or may not be the frame but no conclusion was drawn?


please advise. (and no its not my thumb, I shoot thumbs way up)


just tried pullig as hard as hard as I could to rip the mag out of the gun at battery and w slide back and the release needs pushed in quite a bit during this so it’s not like the release is a hair trigger and just disengages to easy... not sure what’s going on here

When my CM9 had a trigger reset problem I contacted Kahr CS..."POLITELY" told the lady my problem and asked for a shipping label and she said "well yes of course....it is under warranty". Be ready to be without the firearm for a few weeks though.

When new, my CW45 would drop the magazine (though not on every round). Kahr customer service sent me a replacement mag catch that seemed to fix the issue. The drops had stopped, but I wasn't convinced, then or now, that the catch was the sole issue. I've read where other folks posted about mag drops and Kahr also sent them a replacement mag catch, so giving customer service a call might be a place to start

Looks like the call is in order for tomorrow. Gonna politely let them know I’m a new dealer and a range and excited to carry their stuff but not with this problem lingering... total bullshit completely inexcusable. I have the vid shooing my old cw45 80yards with extreme precision. That was a good kahr. Baby soft recoil, huge punch and shot better than my kimber ultra rsptor

Called and gentleman said for sure its the mag catch. Not sure this will fix it but hoping so. I dont see how it can hold it super tight but drop when firing? Well see will update w results.

Wel he new part is dimensionally different and it fixed it completely. That said I don’t like the gun. Selling it
