  • What does CM in CM9 mean

    Not a big deal but just wondered if any one knows what the "CM" in the CM9 stands for.

    Cheaper Machining? Will have to say that my CW9 has been flawless though.
    On the internet, the number of posts do not correlate to actual knowledge.
    The notch is supposed to be there as well as the bulge at the front of the frame!

      Probably..... nothing. Certain letters have marketing appeal , varying on product and market..... And it just sort of fits with Kahrs existing naming structure.

          At the bottom of the page is a table showing what all of the letters and numbers in their model names mean.

              I don't know.

              Here is some research material for you Bandrich, maybe the answer is in it?
              http://www.kahr.com/product-reviews.asp

              I will take some guesses ???
              K = Kahr
              P = polymer
              PM= polymer micro/mini
              CW= carry/conceal weapon
              CM= carry/conceal micro/mini

              I don't think they would use a word with a derogatory connotation like "Cheap" to describe one of their products, But who knows???

              I have read somewhere that the name "Kahr" was chosen as the brand name because it sounded German, which is known for quality. I thought that was kind of interesting.

                I think "Carry More". I guess PM must be "Pay More"
                The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.
