If you wind up near someone using one of those, ask them to aim it away from you and tell them about this news article!

My brother has been sucking on one of those e-cigarettes for over a month trying to quit smoking. I was a three pack a day Marlboro man and quit smoking cold turkey more than twelve years ago. Next to marrying a rich republican woman, the smartest thing that I ever did. The dumbest thing that I ever did was to start smoking. Lungs are a terrible thing to waste.

It will be 11 yrs for me on March 12 @ 2300hrs,I did quit cold turkey as well. I calculated the money I didn't spend on cigarrettes and rewarded myself frequently. Lived in Boston at the time and a pack was over 6 bucks. I also remember paying 14 A$ Aussie $ a pack and 25 bucks for 50gr tobacco to roll smokes in Aussie. I had a coworker in Boston who baught 8 packs every day after work 6 for him and 2 for his wife, they had a one yr old son that time, poor kid!

I quit smoking when I was still in the Air Force. At the BX, a carton of cigarettes was $2.30.... that's 23 cents a pack!!!! (It was also back in 1978)

Back then, if you asked your buddy for a smoke, he just threw you a whole pack and said "Ya want me to kick you in the chest to get the suction going?"

Wow. A guy who works for me has been trying those out. I'll share this with him Monday.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I quit twice in college... 1969/70. They were $1.05 in the commissary overseas and $3.25 a carton on the "outside" after I got out of the AF in 1968. The second time I quit... cold turkey... because I was trying to taper off... a few a day... and my mooching buddy was bumming cigs and lights off me all day and night. I said "F**k it" and just quit!

I was working to supplement my $105 a month GI Bill, and his parents were paying his tuition, meal ticket, and spending money. He blew through the last two in a few months... including not buying a meal ticket for the quarter/school year!
