Yesterday I became an official old phart

Had bought a pair of the Perry type suspenders last week in preparation for doing a whole bunch of on the ladder work at the house. (Thanks for the recommendations on this type of suspenders from this forum) Wore them with the belt (as per design) on my jeans. Up and down on the ladder carrying junk in the jeans pockets and carpenters bag.

Never had to pull up my pants at any time Probably saved about 1 hour out of the day.

Last time I wore suspenders was between 1966 and 1971 wearing the "monkey suits" (full dress uniforms to you guys never in the services).

Who would have thought that the old pharts that went before us were so smart.

I'm not sure of just how to answer this one! I am sure that Tinman may have something to add.

I bought some of those Perry Suspenders from Wally World a couple of years ago to help hold my belt up while carrying my pistol. I posted about that on here then. I finally broke down and spent $50 on the Looper Kydex-reinforced GUN belt and don't need the suspenders.

I would have to take the buckle thingies off the suspenders and sew the straps to the correct length, because the darn things SHOW too much bunched up on the front of my stomach... not that it's that grand.

Continuing the drift..... I finally modified the Perry Suspenders belt hooks to allow tucked shirts. Makes my wife happy as she isn't a fan of suspenders - especially on a handsome gentleman such as I.

I carry a lot of stuff in pockets and on my belt, even more so when "in the field". The Perry Suspenders have saved my a whole lot of grief over the last two years I've been wearing them If it weren't for the J hooks that clip under the belt (not the type that clip to the pants) I would have never bought them. Having the belt itself supported, I can even let out a notch on the belt and breath a little better

Dang! That's quite a "tool shed". I can still see my toes and whatever.

My retired LEO brother... 9 years my junior... isn't quite that big, but he stuffs a Kimber .45 or XD40 compact right down the front of his pants and then exhales. I can't imagine how that must feel... sitting down! I think he uses a holster... don't remember... I was just in shock when he did that! I guess it's the Clint Smith saying... "Wearing a gun is not supposed to be comfortable, but comforting"!

To continue the drift.....OK, how did you modify the belt hooks. Inquiring minds want to know.

To Tinman! Comes through again. I'm the first to admit I've got some belly but not that big
