I bought a shield 3 days after they were released...Hit the range with it first time yesterday... I put 320 rounds thru it ,300 FMJ ,WWB and federal 124gr. The other 20 was a box of Speer GD's 124 gr. as well...Trigger is crisp and sure and has a positive reset right out of the box..Comes w/ a 7 and 8 round extended magazines...both worked flawlessly...The feel of the gun is thin, has a great grip and fits my hand like a glove..The lgs here got 18 of them in on 4/17...they were gone within 2 hours..I got the next to last one...Yesterday at the range I had two guys offer to buy it ...I allready own 2 m&p's a 9c and a 45c,and they are awesome guns IMO...The shield in this platform to me is a no brainer...It has a much better trigger than my other m&p's...It's made to shoot and carry and it handles that with ease...Needless to say I lovin' this thing...S&W has a serious winner on their hands here...Just my .02...

I'll test the shield this week.the dimensions are almost identical with the PM45,except the thickness. Both guns fit well in a Desantis inside the waistband holster. The trigger guard on the shield is a bit bigger compared to the PM45, Range report will follow.........Ii

Forget the Shield!!! I've got 500 dollars burning a hole in my pocket for the new Springfield XDs Slimline 45. Single stack .45 (5+1) with the same controls as my XD45.

Fell of the Bandwagon M&p shield 9mm update

Took her to the Range yesterday and startet with 100 rounds 115 fmj followed by200 rounds 124 gr jhp Gold dots and 100 rounds
Winchester Ranger 147gr jhp , she ate everything without a burb. Works like a Singer Sewing Machine, perfect! Very little perceived recoil. I tried to make her fail with limb wristing, rapid fire but she kept going.Shells ejected perfectly too. The shield is a very accurate Pistol and I got consistent groups up to 25 yards. I'm very impressed so far, will update after next outing.

That's great Krusty nice report! So many people love their M&P's I'm not surprised to hear a great report.

I can't wait to shoot one along with my CW9 at the same time for comparison

                  Pics

I'am reading and posting 100% of my cell phone at this time and it probably dont work to post pics with the phone. One of these days ( time permitting ) I'll sit down on the computer and start with my Avatar first ( baby steps ). One thing I can tell you, the M&P shield is not ugly...
