  • How doe FTF transactions work?

Please forgive this question, but I couldn't find the answer via a search. A friend owes me $$ and wants to pay me with a couple pairs of guns.
    • How would I do this transaction, he lives in IL and I live in OH?
    • Would he have to have his FFL ship to my FFL?
    • Or could we meet and do the exchange in person, but how does the filing of paperwork work?

Thank you in advance for any assistance...I've only don't purchases via my own FFL and this scenario is a little confusing to me..

Your friend needs to send the guns to your FFL, there you fill out the paperwork and take posession. Some FFLs will not receive transfers from private citizens, so make sure the one you use does do this. Otherwise he'll have to have a FFL on his end do the shipping.

A face-to-face in your case is illegal.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

THANK YOU for the illegal part , that was my main concern...

So he could possibly mail them to my FFL? Would he have to include any certain paperwork?
