I ordered some new Trijicon Night Sights from Kahr this week. I will say the shipping was faster than expected, but the quality of how they were shipped SURPRISED ME!!! I thought they would come in a case or box or something. The sights were just shipped in a zip-loc baggie with instructions stapled on it and in a padded envelope. Does this seem odd or just me? I ordered TFO's and Trijicons from my XD's and never got it shipped like this.

if my gun sights couldn't take the mild beating they may get from a mail carrier in a padded envelope, they certainly can't take the beating I'm going to be giving them on my firearms.________________________________________

probably kahr orders those sights in bulk to as they install them on their guns besides selling them as accessories: Just sayin.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I agree with Jacko, these are production items and they must have bins full of each. I sometimes get aircraft parts sent to me the same way, no biggie.
The CW kit is not production, thats why I asked.I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
"Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
"more stuff than you are"

I ordered a set of Trijicons for my CM9 and they came in a cardboard box and were set inside foam cutouts. I thought they were over packaged myself. Seems there is either inconsistency there or they changed how they ship to save on cost.A well regulated militia being necessary to the security of a free state, the right of the people to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.

My CM9 Trijicons came from Kahr as the OP described. I thought nothing of it. BTW, it has been several months and hundreds of rounds, the sights are fund, and I love'em.Originally posted by ParabellumJ View PostI ordered a set of Trijicons for my CM9 and they came in a cardboard box and were set inside foam cutouts. I'm
gnna go out on a limb here and say I think the CM model niht sights willbe shipped in a box as that is not a production sight that kahr itself installs on their guns as an option. So more than likely Trijicon or who eve ris making that night sight fo rhte cm series is shipping then that way and maybe kahr has no option as to bulk order "loosely". My CM9 front night sight was shipped in a tiny ziplok parts baggie. I don't see that as anything odd. It's a tiny little part. They included instructions.
I have issues with the gross overpackaging of everything we consume here in the US. When asked if I need a bag for something in a store, I usually say no, since it's going to be a one time use and I pay to have trash hauled.
Side note: I know some folks have recently gotten new Kahr guns in cardboard. That is how Ruger ships them. The difference is Ruger also includes a nice zip up pistol case. I'd much prefer that to the molded plastic cases Kahr used to ship in.sigpic

That notch in the rail is supposed to be there
"Laws that forbid the carrying of arms disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than to prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed man."

That sounds like a good reason...Thank you for the KIND reply...You mentioned in a previous thread that "there are no stupid questions" and I appreciate the kind responses to my sincere question...Originally posted by jocko View Postgnna go out on a limb here and say I think the CM model niht sights willbe shipped in a box as that is not a production sight that kahr itself installs on their guns as an option.
