My second to the oldest son is currently serving in the U.S. Air Force and is station at Nellis AFB in Nevada. He is a TSgt and has served for almost 14 years and just complete his Bachelor Degree on the 15th of this month an accomplishment for anyone but even more so doing it with a wife, 2 kids while serving full time. He has been drooling over a Kahr PM4044N for a few years now so I just made arrangements through my local FFL to give him one for graduation. He should be able to pick it up at the Base Sportman,s club next Thursday and will be very suprised when he gets the call to pick it up.

You make me feel bad, I gave my son a Taurus .357 magnum revolver I'd had for a few years, that has been very dependable. I didn't want to give him a semi auto cause he doesn't shoot much, figured a revolver would be the best thing for him. And gave him a speedloader full of 125 gr Remington Hollowpoints and some extra ammo when he moved a couple hours away and got his own apartment. His girlfriend doesn't want him to keep the gun loaded. I am going to have to have a talk with her.
They are getting married in July. They made me rent a penguin suit too, not sure why. Then to save them money I am going to DJ the wedding party. I have the sound equipment so why not?

Dang, I forgot to congratulate you. Isn't it great feeling to see you children doing well in life? My son is an chemical engineer graduate of K-State and his starting salary was about the same as I made in my best paying job in the computer field after 20 years experience doing a Y2k gig for Boeing, which is a miserable place to work, never seen a bunch of folks making $35 and up, an hour for popping rivets, gripe so much. They griped about their pay, their hours, their benefits, the union, the non-union scabs, you name they griped about it. If you ask me, $35 an hour is way overpaid for popping rivets. Thankfully I wasn't around them much, but the computer folks I worked with weren't much better. A typical day for them was clock in, gripe about things for an hour, do a little work, go on break, come back and gripe some more, do a little work, go to lunch, come back and gripe, do a little work, then take a break, come back and gripe, do a little work, then go home. I drove my lead men nuts, they'd give me a "weeks" worth of work, and I'd have it done in 3 days, cause I worked instead of gripe all the time, and THEN they pulled this mandatory overtime on Saturdays, so I had to waste my Saturday their with nothing to do, so I just said to hell with them and quit coming in. I got some talking too over it, I tried to reason I was saving them money by getting my work done during the week and didn't need to come in on Saturday, but they kept up this "it is MANDATORY to come in on Saturday", but I never showed up.
They couldn't fire me, because my work was done, they really had no idea what to do with me. Finally my contract was up and I got the hell out of there.
My next job I worked in a place making less money, but with a group of folks that were pleasant to work with and mostly liked their job. A much more positive place to work. All that negativity at Boeing was too much, and the new place was much better, even at less wages, money sure isn't everything, particularly if you're not happy with your job. Sorry for the book AGAIN, I can't help myself, someone needs to take my keyboard away.
Anyway, I'm VERY proud of my son too.

My Daughter just graduated with her Masters (Summa *** Laude!) in Elementry Education. Nobody is hiring Teachers right now, but we are very proud. I wanted to get her the gift of a new AR-15, but Mom nixed me and decided we would get her a Custom made string of fine Pearls instead.
