Barth Six barrels gets his new barrel early and doesn’t have his gun to put it in (*&(*&_*(**.

I ordered barrel number five for my Sig P220.
Knowing I had a three month wait the last time I ordered an extended ported black Isonite QPQ barrel from Storm Lake,
I put the P220 in the shop for a trigger job and SRT kit installation.
Three weeks later I get Email confirmation the barrel is shipped and will arrive tomorrow!!!
Checked with the gunsmith and he had to order a spring kit that hasn’t arrived yet.
    The gun isn’t done.

    Ahhhhhhhhhhh!!!!
    Me heap'um unhappy

Yikes - I need to shut up! - LOL!

My three month custom barrel took three weeks - LOL!
And the gunsmith promised my P220,
with a trigger job and SRT kit installed,
back in my hands by next Friday.

      Life is good!

(now I'm waiting on an extended, triple ported, Bar Sto for my P239/357 LOL!)
I'm having a trigger job, SRT kit, Big Dots and a nickel plated trigger installed
in anticipation of the Bar Sto Stainless barrel.

I've been thinking a lot about how you could have a few more guns with all of the money you're spending on barrels!

          Yup, Yup.
Someone on Glocktalk asked how much I've spent on barrels.
          The total was over $1,500.00.

Still, most of my guns are turning into stone cold tack drivers.
And I like it like that...

I spend all of my money on ammo. When I bought the Ruger 10/22, I bought an ammo supply and a scope... and some more magazines... busted $1,000 in no time... on an "inexpensive" .22LR!

I just bought 2K rounds of range ammo for our P380's and that was the cost of my wife's gun... before tax! And that was $11.99 a box delivered.

              That's the dirty little secret.

It adds up quick (Range Fees, ammo, extra Mags, carry cases/ bags, sights.......)
But like any other hobby/interest it's "all in" or stay on the sidelines!

Back in the day, BK (before kids) I played a lot of golf. The clubs were and still are the least expensive part of that. Greens Fees and range time and lessons are far more expensive if you want to play well.

I haven't touched my clubs in roughly 18 years and don't miss it a little bit.

I played enthusiastically when I was a young man. I can no longer play and I miss it!

I'm still playing 36 holes a week and going to the indoor range for some trigger time, but if you guys think that is expensive just buy a boat to do a little fishing! Next stop poor house. Life is good.

The tritium died in the NS, I had no options.

The 5.10" ported Storm Lake I got yesterday was barrel number 5 for that gun!

I think the porting may work perfect with the Ranger T 230 P+ rounds.
Did you know they are advertised at 990 fps 501 E from a 5" barrel?
