  • Am I wrong?

Or just becoming a DOM (dirty old man). I know this has been posted before but I've gotten to the point where I made this my wallpaper (on the computer dummy).

Gotta go to work up in the attic now. Danged AC drain decided to stop up last night. Supposed to be in the 100s today.

Nothing to worry about, you are just becoming a DOM, well, if that's your wallpaper you may already be there. Part of becoming "mature" is loosing many of the restraints imposed by our society. Look at it as becoming the person you have hidden all along.

Stuff like wearing clothes around the house becomes an option, your farts don't smell anymore nor make a noise, if it itches - scratch it, and if your pants tend to fall down wear suspenders. Of course that includes flirting with strangers, and using pretty women as wallpaper.

In other words, your new philosophy becomes "Don't sweat the small stuff, and it's all small stuff."

Out of the attic for a break. Letting my head cool off!

OL - Clothing at the house is normally shorts and a "T" shirt. No shoes and underwear optional. I really try not to sweat the small stuff.

Bawanna - I like angles too!

Nothing wrong with what I see. Hell, I was headed to the garage to get the gap meter to measure the angels...well nevermind. I go "commando" quite a bit myself. The wife says it's better than pulling my underwear out of my ass on these hot summer days.

My dad turns 80 next month. You wanna talk about a DOM! I took him in for catarac removal a few years back and he tells the nurse "I've got my eyes fixed, I've got my ears fixed, I've got my teeth fixed, now if I could get my privates fixed, I'll be good to go! She turned red as a firetruck and so did I, and I don't embarrass very easy.

+1 on your Dad. I'm only 64 and have my ears fixed, teeth fixed, eyes with glasses or contacts. So far privates OK but may could use a little help? Think I'm suffering from low "T".

BTW - the wife got cataract surgery in both eyes this month. She's wondering if everything was so bright before. Duh!

Don't even want to go to or even think about the gaygun forum.

                    MW surveyor,

Anyone who would even consider going up into an attic in Houston in late June - forget about actually doing so! - is:

                    a. more desperate than I've ever been.
                    b. tougher than I'll ever be.
                    c. crazier than my family thinks I am.
                    d. drunker than I ever want to be.
                    e. unable to find and/or afford a HVAC serviceman on Sunday.
                    f. all of the above.

Going without AC in Houston - even on both days of winter - is simply not possible. I lived there for six years a long time ago. I still have nightmares about my AC going out in August.

When I lived in Boston and the long cold winter set in, all I had to do was think of Houston and I felt just fine, even when it hit 15 below zero. I used to go outside during snowstorms and walk through the Common and the Public Garden just to enjoy the cold.

Oh, yeah. This thread is supposed to be about angels. Do snow angels count? Personally, I prefer snow bunnies who often look like angels, but sometimes don't behave like them.

                      Snidely -

I'm originally from Miami and one of my jobs in high school was installing and repairing central air conditioning systems. Was a lot younger then but still can't bear the thought of paying someone to do work I know how to do. I did however, have a new unit put in by a contractor about 6 years ago and yes it was in late July/early August . Those guys earned their money and that's for sure. I may be dumb, but not stupid enough to tackle a complete new installation by myself.

                      Oh yeah, loved the a, b, c, d, e, f themes!

AND SNOW BUNNY ANGELS DO COUNT !

I only see two problems with the choice of wallpaper.

First, the angel has what appears to be Beretta 9mm handguns. Everyone knows they shoot Kahr pistols... mostly P9's for some strange reason.

Second, angels do not wear pants! Look as I may, I have yet to see any cherub-wear in any of the online or local outlets.

Based on that, I'd suspect the devils hand in the making of that image.
