  • How to spot a Fake Swat Home Invasion

I didn't know this, but I guess in some areas, home invaders are dressing as SWAT teams and invading houses. I hope this link works, it describes someways that you can tell the difference. It says most are drug related so most of us have nothing to worry about. I do get some medicines with pretty high street values, and my Doctor told me to keep them hidden away where no visitor would be able to see them, and I do. A very few close friends and family know I have these, but not very many, I worry more about getting knocked on the head at the pharmacy than a home invasion. But I also live in a rural area with insterstate access a mile away, and worry that someone might burst in looking for quick cash or goods they could sell.
Here is the link, let me know if it doesn't work and I'll see if I can copy the info and put is somewhere you can access it:

I do nothing illegal and if a fake or not fake swat team breaks down my door someone is getting shot. I have nothing to fear far as the real deal so if fake sorry you came to the wrong house.

Every once in a while even real SWAT makes a mistake and storms the wrong place.
Still, I'm doing nothing illegal, so I'm shooting first, second and third.
I don't need to ask any stinking questions.
      But I've got answers...

If it's a mistake, they will have vests on.
And I'm not using armor piercing bullets.

What's a 1.5 oz slug in the chest between friends anyway?
Maybe they will double check the address next time...

Sometimes SWAT or Raid Teams make a mistake on the address. You may want to let that process for a second before you start shooting.

Yes, it did happen to a friend of mine. Flash bangs and everything.

Did your friend at least get a reach-around out of the deal?

I figure it they don't shoot the dog right away... they're not a real swat team.

My country subdivision has very similar street names and package deliveries often go to the wrong house. It would not be surprising for a swat team to get the wrong house out here.

Of course I can only hope they don't bust down the door, but if they crush it cleanly with a door smasher I'll guess they are police. If they kick at the door which is braced, I'll assume they are bad guys. Problem is if you shoot at a cop, even if they are busting down the wrong door, they will smother you in lead.

But what happens when they most certainly return fire?

We had a rancher killed here in Az. sometime ago. The swat team busted in while he was in bed. He got up & grabbed his handgun. As he went to investigate the sound, they shot him dead. It was the wrong house!

If it was a genuine SWAT team that was storming my house, I believe that LAST thing I would want to do is open fire on them. The result would most likely to be every living thing in your house being shot dead or otherwise destroyed. These guys don't mess around, and if you initiate hostilites, there will be hell to pay, From then on it's shoot first and ask questions later. You're going to have .223, possibly .308 rifle bullets, and most certainly automatic 9mm fire, whatever duty caliber they use, and buckshot, raining down on you, passing through walls and going every which way. Every where you move you will draw fire. They can see through your walls with infrared goggles and dertermine your approximate position. I would not want to subject my loved ones to those horrors. They are likely to get blown away in the hell that was meant for you. No matter if they are in the wrong house, I believe you will get prosecuted for attempted murder (if you happened to live) on people that have announced they are police and are on official police business. If I had loved ones to watch over and protect, I believe I would suffer whatever discomfort it took for them to see that they had the right house.
If it WAS my house they were raiding, only thing I'd suspect was they were there to take my guns, and I might do things different, since it's only me living here, but I'd still have to give that more thought as the climate grows more antigun. Speaking of which, I hear on July 27th, Obama and Hillary are going to sign the UN small arms treaty, and will most likely have it voted on during the lame duck session this year, so they can whip/bribe/or intimdate Democrats and Republican turncoats into signing it into law. **** Morris (A well known contributor to conservative news outlets) has said this will be like adding an admendment to the Constitution to override the 2nd admendment. The only recourse is to have your state pass legislation that they will not honor the treaty nor allow any of their facility's to be used in such procedures to enforce the treaty, and hopefully that they will use their resources to prevent the treaty from being enforced. The last couple times that was used very often was first before the Civil War, when it was Federal policy to round up escaped slaves and send them to their owners, severel states passed laws to effectively keep that from happening within their borders. No slaves were returned from states that passed these laws. Second we have several states that have legalised for medical an herb that the Feds regard as addicting and harmful with no medicinal value. Seems like the states are getting away with it, although you hear about a Federal bust of a dispensary or something, usually from someone bragging on the news about how well he is doing. But for the most part they are getting away with it.
The Treaty is one those "You have to pass the bill to see what's in it" type of deals. We don't even know what is in this treaty and those two idiots are going to sign it? Doesn't that prove they are insane and should be removed from office?
I think it's finally going to happen, we are going to give up our rights to some international body, that can come in and trash our constitution, take our guns, and who knows what else, We are giving up our oceans territory, along with all the mineral rights with the LOST treaty so the UN decides who gets to drill for oil off our shores, and WHERE, and who gets the proceeds, Who knows what other parts of our Constitution, and other resources are being handed to a foreign body that votes against us 3/4 or more of the time.
I can feel it. Things are just too iffy for there to be another time that they could sign such a treaty and have a lame duck congress to vote it in. And they totally believe in this, it's totally socialist and exactly what they want, to bring America down to European if not third world conditions.
And I believe we have some law that we can't back out of a treaty once we've signed it. We may not even be able to defund it, as UN funds, most likely obtained from US, could be used to fund it. We have no idea. We can't read it until it's signed. Oh we know how well that worked with healthcare reform. I sure hope that it can be filibustered long enough to get it tabled until after the inaugriation. The bad thing is once it's signed by Barry and Hillary, it's in somewhat in effect until congress either ratifies it or declines it. And the lame duck session really has me worried, I think some folks are going to be losing their seats and are going to stick it to us while they still can.
That could be the spark that makes a fed up nation show it's ugly side.
Sorry for the Rant, I was just reading about it, and really has me upset with those idots we let run the country.

                        Police

Am I the only person that thinks the police are getting out of control with their militarization.

If they actually take the time to announce they are law enforcement serving a warrant.
And are willing to show papers and ID.
Then there will be no problem.

If it's an un-announced, or hardly announced, bum rush I'm going to repel borders.
With any luck we will have a stand off and time to sort things out.

I may get killed no doubt.

No you are not. I don't think serving a warrant by throwing in grenades coming in like military and shooting up the place. You serve a warrant by handing it to someone. If the person shoot first then all bets are off. Law enforcement is dangerous but nothing in the constitution allows them to do what they are doing. And if they get the wrong house and kill someone they should be charged with murder and face the death penalty.

I am a huge supporter of the police and military and I am glad they are there, but these types of raids should stop.

Let's not forget the Pima County Sheriff's SWAT error within the last year where they shot the guy who just returned from the sandbox and then held the medics away for over an hour until he bled out.

As far as militarization of local PD, look at all the press about local PD getting drone aircraft to spy on citizens. Once they weaponize their RC planes over the cities nobody will be safe.
