As for my latest Range Report.
Yes, it rained like hell here too.
But my range is indoors so I don't care about that.
Took my G27 OEM 40, Storm Lake G23 40 and Storm Lake G23 40-9mm
barrels and a few boxes of Winchester Ranger Bonded 180 gr JHP 40 and
Federal HST 124 gr 9mm.
All barrels ran without issues.
1) Glock OEM 40 barrel was combat accurate, but that's all.
2) Storm Lake G23 40-9mm grouped better than the Glock.
3) Storm Lake G23 40 delivered some nice groups.
The whole time I desperately wanted my Storm lake ported 357 barrel.
Almost brought it along but knew she would steal the show.
I've only had one FTF with the SL 357 in about 1000 rounds.
It was with an extended mag.
I just locked the slide back, pulled the mag, pushed the round back in, inserted the mag and dropped the slide.
It went right in?
I'm thinking it's the mags fault.
The gun with the ported 357 Storm Lake is just magic to shoot.
Blows the bulls-eye out of the target.
Little recoil or muzzle flip.
And the 1300+ fps 125 gr lightning strike is just what I want in a firefight.
I think I'll just run flush 9 round G33 OEM mags
and stay with my magic Storm Lake 357 Sig flame thrower.
I really do love that gun...
And that's the season finale for The Barrel Report.
Get ready for Season Two of The Barrel Report in August.
Glock G27s arch enemy Sig Sauer P239 returns from exile with a strange and untested new power called "Bar-Sto".
