  • Most Accurate Kahr

In your opinion, what would you say is the most accurate model and approximate year of manufacture? I know a guy who "needs" to sell an HK P7 that was directly imported (not LE turn in), and it has me thinking that I want to look into the Kahr metal guns...they are so SEXY!

That is a new one on me. I have never knew or heard of any kahr being more accurate in certainl years. I have no douvbt the most accurate should be the T series due to over all length and weight. Thre most popular steel has to be the K9 which is super accurate, course what is super to some is fair to others
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

I guess there probably are not "better years" then. Thanks!

That's why the shotgun was invented.

I would say the T series, whether a T9 or TP9, mainly because of the full grip, longer barrel and longer sight line. The only real difference is in the weight. I shoot both about the same.

I compare the P7 and T9 as two peas from the same pod. Similar in so many ways.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I have owned two H&K P7s (one purchased new and the other Grade A used). My wife and I were surprised that we both shot the K9 much more accurately. This was unexpected given that the K9 has a double action trigger versus the P7's single action one. Even though I really liked the P7s, both were sold. I know H&K fanatics will have fit to hear this, but the K9 was a better choice.

I rented a HK P7 and couldn't ht the broad side of a barn with it.
Two friends bought HK USP 45 compacts.
So I special ordered one with a stainless steel slide, NS and no external safety.
                Couldn't hit anything with it.
I could throw the gun better than shoot it.
It's the only handgun I've ever owned and got rid of.

My MK40 Elite is crazy accurate.
At close range it's a tack driver.
I think it really is at any range.
But the short sight radius make long range work difficult for me.

In a ransom rest I think it would match any Kahr.
In fact it might well give any gun a run for it's money....

Now that I have all the small polymer Kahrs, I really want to buy one of the steel guns. My preference is to buy the MK9, so it is great to hear that the MK40 is so good, and many others have noted their love of the MK9.

                  Thanks all!

be my but I think the jjP7 is more of a novelty type well made gun, than over all practical.

Damn I can remember back 30+ years ago, u couldn't give a P7 away, today not so..

Carried a P7M8 (issued) for years; it was okay. Switched to a Sig 220 when the policy changed. Retired and now carry whatever I like.

I like my T9 a lot much more than the P7M8 and I believe I shoot the T9 better.

I don't recall anyone trying to give away any P7s. They were way over priced as far as I'm concerned.

I have a T9 and love it but I am more accurate with my TP45.

Generally speaking, most guns are capable of better accuracy than the person holding them. I look for good ergonomics, trigger, weight, sights, and balance. The rest is up to the shooter.

I have a CM9 and a K9. I was never real accurate with the CM9 but was right on the mark with the K9. After carrying the K9 for about 6 months I went back to the CM9 for summer carry and Surprise! I am deadly accurate with the CM9.

Theory: The K9 taught me the Kahr trigger. I settled down and shot the CM9 like I shoot the K9 and it's improved my accuracy tenfold. Mistakes are amplified in small light framed guns. Do the fundamentals correctly and it all falls into place.
