I've seen the term on several posts about a "Covert" model of one of the Kahr guns. What are these??? What makes a model "Covert"? Thanks for the help.

Just shortening the grip to fit a shorter models magazine.

I have a P9 Covert. It has the same lenght slide as the P9 with the same grip lenght as the PM9. I think it is great. I wish that Kahr would make the K9 in a Covert model. I think that they have made a K40 Covert.Comment

today they are, at one time kahr offered a covert models and if I am not mistaken evenin the all steel models.. There is some good covert DIY tutorials on this forum. Alot have done um with zero issues. Buy a cm9 and just be done with it, IMO.. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

Yes, I feel very fortunate to have it. I purchased it brand new in 2003-2004. Will never get rid of it. It has about 2700 rounds through it. It is now my summer work attire pocket carry (in a pocket holster of course). In the evening and weekends, I switch to to Glock IWB carry. I occassionally use the P9 Covert for IDPA competition.Comment

Just picture a P9 with the same grip lenght as a PM9 and that would be the only difference. The Covert uses the same 6 round magazine as the PM. So basically it is a PM with a 3.5 " barrel or a P9 with a PM lenght grip. The only difference is the grip lenght. Hope that helped.Comment
