  • I bought a used MK9 Elite, sight un-seen for $600

Why did I do it? I have a CM9 that is 100% reliable and I wanted a companion gun for show and tell, so to speak. I love my CM9 and use it for my concealed carry gun and pocket carry gun. It will preform without fail if and when I need it. I am confident in the 9mm CM9 will be able to protect me and my family under 99+% of all events that require self defense. Now why did I buy a MK9 Elite (sight un-seen)? It has everything I want in a holster gun, good looks, reliability, polished finish, night sights and it's a pleasure to see and shoot.
Wait, I don't have possesion of it yet, I will get it Wednsday, August 22, 2012. Can't hardly wait to complete my Kahr 9 mm collection.

I bought my MK40 Elite with NS on the internet NIB $820.
    Never shot or held one.
    I did rent a P9, P40 and K40 though.
I always recommend folks step up to the Elite model.
Truly believe they are worth every penny.
Sounds like you got a great deal on an outstanding gun.
Mine took over 200 rounds to break in (actually 400).
So if she misbehaves at first give her some time.
Mine is 100.00% reliable now with GDHP & Ranger Ts.

Enjoy being a member of the Elite Club - I Do.

My MK9 Elite was very tight and temperamental when I got it, new. It took 400 rounds, also to break in. But once it did, MAN what a sweet, accurate, and incredibly reliable shooter. It is now a 100% performer every time I take it out and every time it puts a smile on my face.

Congrats on a fine purchase at a reasonable price.

Picked up my MK9 Elite 2003 with night sights today. It doesn't show any wear, I bought it as used. This is my companion gun for my 100% reliable CM9. When you find something you like, buy 2 of them. One for carry and one for the house. (and show) I will be ordering wood grips for this one.

Be advised that I bought smooth and textured wood grips from Kahr and neither fit.
You will likely need to break out the dremel, or other such tool, and work on the grips so they fit.

            Very nice!!!
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

              My MK9 Target Shooting today.

I took my new MK9 out for the first time today to shoot. Only had time for 40 rounds in 5 shot groups. The slide was very tight so I expected I might have a problem or two. Nope! not a hint of any malfunctions. Shot all 40 @ 7 yards. I had better groups than with my CM9. Overall, very satisfied with this gun. I bought it used, but on takedown for cleaning and inspection, I couldn't find any indication that it was ever fired. The slide had been racked a few times but no powder residue or wear marks on any of the internal parts. I don't know if it was a display gun or if someone bought it and started to rack the slide 200 times to limber it up and decided it was too stiff. Anyway, I have some wood grips comming and this gun is going to be my belt carry and home defense gun. It has night sights for after dark shooting. My CM9 will be for pocket carry.
