Of course the press won’t report this!

    From: rain

In addition to the info below, did you know that GMC has about two times the number of plants outside of the US than they have in here. Most of those are in China and many have been established since they received the bailout. GMC stands for General Motors of China

    Ted

    IMAGINE THAT

79% of GM’s sales last month was government purchased

By Angel, on July 12th, 2012
Remember how Obama keeps telling us how he saved GM, and how our economy is getting better, it seems the car company he bought is being saved by Govt employees using our tax money to buy new cars. 79% of GM’s sales last month was government purchased.
GM’s sales figures for last month were the best since 2008 , up 16% for the month of June. YIPPEE! Well, wait just a minute. It seems that those rosy sales figures are due primarily to a 79% increase in fleet sales to the U.S.government in June. That’s right. Our tax dollars are being used to pump up GM’s sales figures ahead of next month’s quarterly report so that Dear Leader can point to Government Motors as a huge success. The incestuous relationship between GM, the UAW and the Regime has never been more glaringly apparent. I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. GM is unsustainable without government subsidies and will ultimately go bust again, taking billions of taxpayer dollars down with it.
We bailed out General Motors to the tune of $50 billion. $30 billion of this is effectively a loss, mostly sunk into fattening the United Auto Workers union—fierce Obama supporters—while the actual bondholders were shown the elevator shaft.

Meanwhile, as NewsBusters reports, “We the Taxpayers are still stuck holding 500+ million shares of GM stock. Which we need to sell at $53 per. Which debuted post-bankruptcy at $33 per. And which is currently trading at just over $20 per. Meaning we’ll lose about $15 billion.”
But it gets better. Despite the overwhelming negatives, the tiny bright spot of positive June sales numbers is being heralded by Obama and the leftist press as proof the auto bailout was a “success.”
Obama is now campaigning on the “success” of – the government buying cars from…the government’s car company. With our money.
Americanvision says That’s like you setting up a lemonade stand for your kids. You buy them the lemons, sugar, cups and pitchers – and then buy most of the lemonade yourself.
The pressure is on Government Motors to appear financially strong as this may be the last earnings report before November elections and sets the stage for how “successful” GM is. One of GM’s past tricks to help fudge earnings numbers has been to stuff truck inventory channels. Old habits die hard at GM. According to a Bloomberg report, “GM said inventory of its full-size pickups, which will be refreshed next year, climbed to 238,194 at the end of June, a 135 days supply, up from 116 days at the end of May.” 135 days supply is huge, the accepted norm is a 60 day supply. The trick here is that GM records revenue when vehicles go into dealership

I saw something someplace, internet no doubt that they partnered with communist China and 70% of new GM products were made over there. There were photo's of GM big wigs and Chinese big wigs at a big ceremony and all.

I just sort of gave it the bawanna oh well shrug and moved on.

I've always been a devoted GM fan even though I'm forced to drive a F word van due to the sins of my previous life.

It does ease the pain of not being able to buy a Chevy due to lack of funds.

I did blow it about a month ago, there was a last year Chevy before they uglified the full size vans and made em look like swelled up astros on a local lot, clean as a pin and only about 4 grand. I should have scooped it up and outfitted it.

      Oh well.

I grew up being a GM guy. Chevy's in particular. But after the crap vehicles they made in th elate 80's and early 90's, I will never own one again. Cap that off with the bailout and their Chinese production.

My money will be going to ford next go-around. Not a penny of bailout money.

Jocko that's funny . "The great one" That tag is usually for people who have done great things. Being he has never done anything even mediocre he should be considered the Empty Suit. Great people do not have to hide there past. There accomplishments from the past are the building blocks of what makes them great.

General motors and Chrysler would have filed for bankruptcy under Chapter 11. The companies would have restructured and come back on their own without a bailout. Obama saved nothing and spent billions of dollars in doing so. Your tax dollars. He didn't inherit his economic problems from W. He inherited his economic problems from the democrat controlled congress who refused oversight of Fannie and Freddie. You can't sell homes to people who can't afford them and not expect the housing bubble to burst. That's what caused the crash of our economy.

I was a GM fan since my youth, wish I never sold that 70 Nova SS.....even now I am driving a 05 GMC Duramax. Earlier this year the wife needed a new ride and the choice was easy! FORD wins, they didn't take the money. She likes the car and I feel good, even my preacher says I am startin to come around (G)
