  • I Have Found "The" Car

been a car nut all my life and probably owned four dozen

owned 14 BMW's over the years

Since I play in a band I have to drive something that will haul my band gear.

AND I like "spirited" driving...so, what could meet both needs?

2000 BMW 540it Stage 2 Dinan (Dinan is to BMW what AMG is to Mercedes)

V8, big brake kit, Zionsville cooling system (BMW's Achilles heel)
big rubber, lowered, Koni's, good sound system

I swear, if someone gave me 50G's and told me to pick something out, I'd keep this Touring.

Runs consistent 14.3's and gets 25mpg on the road.

    with a little left

that BMW sure looks clean. Very nice. How's it feel going 140? I've been 110 but wonder if it's a lot different at 140.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

                Depends on the vehicle.

My old 3000GT VR4 would run a tick over 160.

                Both are very stable.

Strangest thing is the pitch of the wind noise getting into a range not often heard.

Kids, DO NOT try topping out your car on a public road in traffic or at night.

A new 5.0 Mustang pulling a small trailer will do all that and not require its own parking spot at the repair shop. LOL

We'll need to hit the mud pits or some sugar sand for me to compete...

After more than a dozen used Bimmers, I know how and which ones to buy.

                        Very classy!
It would be so nice if something made sense for a change.
