What do you folks recommend for payment of a internet/forum purchase of a used handgun?

All three transactions involved selling magazines for guns. In speaking to them, they wanted documentation as to the details of the transaction. I had to show proof of what the items were. I took screen shots of the kahrtalk forums indicating the items that were offered for sale.

After review, they did unlock my account. In speaking to the paypal employee, I was informed that any magazines with a capacity greater than 10 rounds is in violation of their policy as well as ANY firearm. She further told me that if they investigate any other of my transactions and they find that I have purchased or sold firearms or high capacity magazines that they would cancel my account and not allow me to withdraw my funds.

So, if you choose to use paypal please be careful, you could be SOL.

One practice I follow is to have a ZERO balance in my paypal account and set up a automatic authorized withdrawal by paypal from a small savings account set up just for that purpose. They will want a credit card as further backup, but they will never use that as long as there are funds in the account they are authorized to withdraw from. I keep that bank account with a minimum amount in it and transfer money as needed.

An officer here says now they have a Pay Pal debit card. When he sells something it goes into that debit account ready to spend someplace else which works good for him as he sells stuff to get other stuff.

I don't use it anymore than necessary, very little and probably even less in the future.

Glad you got them, the paypal thing....meh. Just the cost of doing business or in my case, no longer doing business with them. Yes it's going to take a little longer to get paid (USPS money orders) but I'm not going to pay any fees (any more) and certainly won't have someone watching every transaction.

For purchases from a forum member or deposits for stuff off craigslist, etc. I just send the funds as a "gift" with no product or sevice being mentioned.
                      Simple enough,
I apologize if my post contains the same or similar information as someone who has posted before me.
