I had two 1st gen 9mm carbines that ran perfectly for over a year. I put an ATI stock on one of them and immediately started having a few malfunctions. The other continued to be 100%. I replaced the ATI stock with the original and the problems ceased. I sold one and threw the ATI into the deal. The other one was stolen two years ago and replaced with the 2nd gen 45.

Oh, no. That rail and scope will turn it into a forbidden "Assault Weapon!"Originally posted by Bawanna View PostHaving played this theory in my mind recently I'd probably go with a bolt gun. I like my son's Ruger Scout in 308. I'd probably have the rail on it so I could mount a conventional scope as I'm not totally sold on the Long Eye Relief concept or at least the looks of it which is important.
Looking cool is just about everything.
Very interesting...

I'd have to stay with my Swedish Mauser in 6.5 X 55...
Built in 1898. Shoots straighter than I can and has survived every attemp at gun banning so far...
...With a bayonet.I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
"Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
"more stuff than you are"
God Bless our Troups!

By fineswine's definition, my Enfield 2A (ironic isn't it?) would be an assault weapon. It has a separate and distinct pistol grip, a 12 round detachable magazine, and a bayonet lug. To hell with these idiots.Attitude: it takes 43 muscles to frown, 17 to smile...and 3 for proper trigger squeeze.
The olive branch is considered a symbol of peace, and good will. Last time I checked, it's still a switch.
