  • New Letter Opener

I got a new letter opener today. I actually won this Katana sword in a raffle. I've never won anything before ever in raffles and I've entered a ton. Usually a good cause so you don't feel bad if you lose, such was the case here also.
Never held nothing like this before. It's quite a blade and no envelope, pumpkin or watermelon will ever be safe in my presence again.

Quite an ornate sheath and an art form in it's own right. Sterling silver.

In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
    Cue sound of Head slap.

    RIP Muggsy & TMan

That's sweet! It looks good in front of the Kahr poster too.

Looks like it would be good for opening the mail or the male.

That is cool, but for me, I would want a relica of a WWII FS commando dagger.

EDIT: Oh wow, I just noticed that is a real sword. I was thinking mini Katana.

I'm still trying to figger out what that small object on the floor to the left of the blade in the last pic is .... I'd swear that's the ringless part of a pop top from a 1969 vintage Schlitz beer can.

Nice looking blade. I'd end up wearing it down to a nub though as it would end up in my survey truck to replace one of those cheap foreign made machetes we carry for cutting survey lines through the brush.

Let's see some pictures in the act of cutting something.
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I shall investigate that spot on the floor in the last photo, I have now clue.

It's a snow day for me today. Cut the grass on Sunday, woke up to a lot of snow this morning. I didn't want to go to work anyhow.

I shall consider all those generous offers. You guys are awesome.

Nice blade, but the scabbard does look a little "gay"!

                    OMG! A gay blade!

Hey they are legal here in Washington now. What a world we live in.

Wonder if it helps to be stoned while laying down with your own gender, can't hurt. That's legal now too.

Congrats - the scabbard is a work of art as well as the blade. One of a kind.

How the hell do you accessorize for that? What shoes and handbag would work with that?
