anyone know of problems shooting lead thru DE1911? i can't find jacked bullets right now, but can find lead and plated bullets. i mostly shoot at an outdoor area so no problem with indoor rules. does bullet shape cause any feeding issues, SWC,RNFP or RN? i have only fired FMJ and JHP thru it and have had no issues with either.

Leading the barrel would most likely come from pushing the bullet too fast (say above 1100fps). Standard loadings of slightly light should be fine.
I used to load 230grn RN hardcast lead pushed by 3.2grns of Clays powder. They made like 750fps and went thru my old SA 1911A1 very cleanly.
Bullet shapes that will work reliably is a matter of the individual gun. I bet that a 200grn SWC will work fine if pushed to at least 850fps.
Good luck, let us know how it goes.
I was once asked if I was "a paranoid for carrying my Kahr".
    "Nope" I said, "just prepared".
" prepared for what" he asked?
    "more stuff than you are"
