    Police shootout video

    This police shoot out video may have already have made it's rounds here, I stumbled on to it today and it made me think again about what I carry as far as size of caliber and size of magazine.
    Not that I would ever be in a shootout, or plan to, but look how many hits this guy takes before he folds over. Death by police is what I think he wanted.

    It ain't like in the movies, is it? The only time a perp goes down instantly is from a heart or central nervous system hit.

      Yeah, that he shouted "Kill me!" makes it pretty clear in my mind. I heard off camera a civilian shouting I have a gun and the cop shouting to stay away. However, I think perhaps the civilian may be the one who emptied a mag into the guy as he lay there. If he did shoot, it is what will get a CCW into big trouble as it should be.

      Civilian had no business interfering with 2 cops upright and the bad guy down. If it were one cop and he/she needed help I would but neither one of these needed help. Not just another day on the streets but nothing they can't handle at least during the incident. Later may need help getting through it.

      Two way shiny things.... 1. why do women always yelp when surprised like that. The guy acted funny before he cam out shooting so they had to suspect something was up. 2. The woman gave instructions to the guy to watch her back as she called it in, which she did quite calmly for the situation. No reason not to so don't get all puffed up, but I was proud of the way she handled the whole thing.

      Oh, one more.... This is why I carry only 45's now. With the law crimping our style, limiting capacity, I suspect it won't be long before they outlaw spare mags, stating we meant TOTAL capacity.

        I have seen thru and thru heart and head wounds survive to continue the fight. Some even survied to go to prison. Heart hits are time killers not immediate ones. The only true CNS kill shot is to disconnect the spinal column as high as possible, preferably just as it exits the foramen magnum.

            Do liberals have foramen magnum's? I'm assuming it's the opposite end as the gluteous maximus? Never heard of it. Course I got kicked out of biology when I tried to cook the frogs legs on a bunsen burner.

              The bystander after the fact, felt he needed to announce his pistol to the policeman, which we have to do in our State, but it was bad timing as the officer was hit and needed help, he should have just offered assistance in plugging a hole.
