  • Metal Detecting Three Guns In One Day

This is sorta a cool video.

I'm led to believe by someone else that this fellow lives up near my neck of the woods, or rather up near the Harper's Ferry area of Maryland. While you can't use a metal detector on federal or state lands, there are plenty of areas privately owned where tens of thousands of Civil War troops had to pass through.

That general area saw troops passing through for both Antietam as well as the Gettysburg campaigns.

It hard to believe that all of that history just lay there for all of these years.

I can well imagine that for someone into that kind of stuff, he must have gone home flying pretty high. And like "muggsey" said, it's hard to imagine that stuff laying there for 150 years.

Totally cool, thanks for sharing. It's nice to see people still caring and trying to preserve these artifacts.

What a find for the guy, the rewards of hard hunting.
