HK to their credit, told me that DA was for emergency use only.... (cough cough)... and not to be used for first shot firing if it could avoided! Lets see, I was loading five rounds at a time just for familiarity, and I managed to get less than 10 DA pulls per pistol. Oh, to be fair, there were probably another 20 to 30 dry fire DA pulls as well.... in total, between three pistols.

That - folks - was the end of my HK relationship.
and hear I thought all the time that the HK was the holy brail of guns and that kahr was the only makerwho made bad guns. Just sayin
. My PM9 has over 34,000+ rounds through it, and runs much better than an illegal trying to get across our border

      I love my HKs.
But have stayed away from the out of production guns.
Even some of the old USPs had firing pin issues.

All mine are newer polymer guns that have been flawless and deadly accurate.
Particularly my FS USP Tactical 45 which is a real tack driver.

My saga is from a time long past.... early 1980's, when the P9s was a current pistol.

Good concept, lousy execution. I understand the 9mm version had no issues as the metal was thicker on the sub frame. That is, they kept the outside the same size, and thinned the inside pieces to make it a 45. Typical techno-kraut engineering.

I.O. Hellcat .380 was the worst gun I've ever owned. FTF,FTE,grouped like a shotgun when you could get it to fire. Barrel looked like rifleing was cut with a chisel. Won the gun and all it cost was $10 transfer fee, wasn't worth it.

I've had five HK's, three currently, and I've never had the first problem. In fact, if I knew that I was going to be involved in a gun fight ahead of time, I guarantee that there would be an HK in my holster.

Where ya been O'Dell? Kind of quiet lately. You in the movies again or something or what?

Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.

Nope, no movies. I've been kinda busy, but I visit at least once a day. Vickie's having surgery next week, plus I've been involved in a complicated car deal. I may sell one of the Corvettes, but I'm working on something equally cool, maybe more so. The operation isn't life threatening, but is quite inconvenient. I'll let you know how everything works out.

It's rare when my holster doesn't have a HK in it.
Other than my 11.1 oz S&W 342 ti BUG - I mostly carry HKs.
