Which is cheaper, beer nuts or deer nuts?

Deer nuts - they are just under a buck!

They are soapstone cubes that you freeze, then put in the glass so you can chill the drink without watering it down.

I am looking at my new bottle of Makers Mark. The wife told me to buy it cuz it had a Christmas sweater on the bottle. She wanted it for a doll.

On a recent trip, my wife and I took the tour at the Jim Beam Distillery. Quite interesting and well done tour. At the end we got to try two of the many varieties each. Cost was discounted for veterans.

For me, the higher the alcohol proof the less I liked it. And I couldn't understand the "single barrel" product. Why would a person want to buy something that there was little to no chance of getting the same taste in the next bottle?

Give Breckinridge a try. It's a fairly new bourbon distilled in Breckinridge, CO. I like it a lot.

Though I'm partial to a fine single malt Scotch over any bourbon any day.

Haven't had any in over 15 years, but Old Wellers 107 was my special occasion whiskey, and W.L. Wellers for normal use. 2 ice cubes.
Doesn't seem to be very well known brand outside of my area of the country. I guess Old 107 has been replaced by "Special Reserve".

Funny thing - I rarely drink any Bourbon or whiskey these days, just a little vodka in a Bloody Mary now & then. Can't tolerate the colored booze much anymore. The old body is telling me something.

It's been along time since I drank hard liquor. But when I did?
