Good movie coming out on Jan 10th to look for called "Lone Survivor", directed by Peter Berg. Story told by TEAM member Luttrell, who is played by Mark Wahlberg...about Luttrell's true story on his lone survival in Afghanistan. Look for it.

I listened to the book on a long distance drive recently. Enjoyed it and will see the movie.
However, I just cannot get my head around the central part of the story. A herd of goats with tinkling bells and a man and a boy walk up on a hidden SEAL team unnoticed until they are within yards of each other? Really? And then the SEAL team lets them go, and doesn't follow them while in enemy territory? Then waits around knowing a force of 150+ bad guys is in the area?
I guess it's the real world, and I with no military experience am probably just naive. I understand the political commentary about Rules of Engagement having strongly influenced their initial decision to let the goat herds go, but this just seems to be too many compounded erroneous decisions for an experienced SEAL team to have made.
Nonetheless, it's a heck of a tale told with great understanding and detail. Marcus is a hero. Sorry for the other deaths.Comment

could'nt help myself but to watch this fine movie yet again for the 3rd time last night, the amazing detail shots in some scenes are crazy.
a few months back i caught a behind the scenes movie crew show that brought the affects of the stunt men to real life which was awesome.
still can't give these men enough credit for what they do & go through on a daily basis.BOBComment
