CM9 Bullet feed problem?

Hey all,
When i first got my CM9 i had a issue when racking the gun, the bullet would get stuck and not feed into the chamber all the way. even at the range it would shoot a round an jam after a shot or 2 for same issue. I sent it in to kahr an they cleaned it i guess an did something an it was better. After shooting a couple hundred rounds it seemed fine when getting it back.. now yesterday i shot 50 rounds to qualify at my range for my job came home today cleaned an lubed gun an seems I'm having same issue. Anyone else have this problem? I'm really doubting the reliability of this gun i had a HK p2000 an i could shoot that thing filthy an never have to worry this is my every day carry gun I'm thinking of selling it an switching brands. any thoughts?

I know everyone says you should lock slide back to load a round.. but this fun as still jammed after firing it halfway through a full mag

Yes, get a box of full power defensive loads. A new Kahr will need full power ammo to facilitate break in, and to function properly. Smaller pistols are also someone more "hold" vunerable, so you might want to increase your grip while the breakin proceeds. After breakin, things should be more forgiving.

The CM/PM series of sub-compact pistols are machined to very tight tolerances and are strongly sprung; as so they need (as the owners manual states) 200 or so rounds fired through it to break it in enough to become reliable. I suppose that is on average 200 rounds so some will break in sooner and others will need more; I suppose that your particular gun is one of the ones that needs more.
Be sure to lubricate it with a good quality gun grease at the proper points according to the lube thread "stickie" at the top of the Kahr tech sub-forum.
Give it some more exercise and see if it will work itself into smooth operation.

These small pistol require a skill set your larger heavier and easier to shoot hk does not require. When brand new they need a quality ammo for most shooters and a firmer grip than larger pistols need. Also you may then find a point where you get it runs fine for a number of rounds , 50 to 100 and you start to loose control and issues return. Time to stop. Great pistols for most but does need a new outlook for some at making them function. As others said If you can find other season kahr owners you should find one willing to meet you to help you shake out your pistol.

I have attempted to boil the OPs narrative down to its essential elements

WHICH same issue, the "racking" issue or the "failing to fire after a round or two" issue? If its a racking issue, then you'll have to make sure you're not slingshotting the first round into the chamber - as was previously mentioned. To me it sounds like you got home, and after cleaning tried to rack in a round or cycle a magazine of rounds into your clean pistol and had problems. You will, unless you slide stop release each round into the chamber. You've got to have perfect technique to slingshot a Kahr, and its harder to do on a relatively new pistol. In time, as the springs take a set, it will be easier... but the method in the manual is, and has been, to drop the slide using the slide stop in order to load a round into the chamber.
