  • Remembering Dietrich

Today for some reason I was pondering the brevity of life, the futility of the workweek, and what's really enjoyable while out mowing the weeds in the yard that have been growing in the 70 degree days recently.

I then remembered the late Dietrich. His humor was something else.

There is enough crap going on in this world today so if you want to read something that can make you laugh click the link below.

    Dear Dietrich
The only thing better than having all the guns and ammo you'd ever need would be being able to shoot it all off the back porch.

I'm not ashamed in the least to admit I go to that thread all the time.

I miss that guy something fierce to this day. He indeed was a genuine gift.

In Memory of Paul "Dietrich" Stines.
Dad: Say something nice to your cousin Shirley
Dietrich: For a fat girl you sure don't sweat much.
      Cue sound of Head slap.

I came aboard just after Dietrich shed this mortal coil, but I've read every one of his posts. Somehow I believe that he and I would have gotten along quite well. Like me, Dietrich took life very seriously and with a grain of salt. He had a fine sense of humor.

I think I channeled a bit of Dietrich on Saturday....

Was sitting on the outside lounge area at a local seaside watering hole, and one my good friends let out a tyrade of multiple obscenties. Everyone looked, and even though my friend did it to be funny... she got some stares.

I simply explained..... "Early onset Tourettes....."

Yes the man was very talented, and I'm sure caused many a computer screen to have beverages spewed onto it from laughing so hard. We should get some of those rubber band bracelets made up that instead of saying WWJD (what would Jesus do) have WWDS on them (what would Dieitrich say).
