In many places it's required to allow carry of a loaded firearm in a vehicle. In some states it's required to stay legal while hunting and carrying a sidearm under a coat.

In Mass immediately post 1 July 75 a concealed carry permit was required to transport/possess any firearm beyond the bounds of one's own property.

“Laws that forbid the carrying of arms..disarm only those who are neither inclined nor determined to commit crimes. Such laws make things worse for the assaulted and better for the assailants; they serve rather to encourage than prevent homicides, for an unarmed man may be attacked with greater confidence than an armed one.” – Jefferson

        At home.

        Schools.

Quantico and other federally restricted areas.
Judging by today's left wing, looks like Senator Joe McCarthy was right after all.

I work in a lot of medical facilities, can't carry there. There are a lot of other places, at this moment, in Michigan you can't carry. Otherwise, carrying is just part of getting dressed.

Other than legally forbidden areas where a body search might happen (military bases, court house, etc.), I carry all the time. We live on small acreage with at least two resident black bears and coyotes nearby, so I open carry outside our fenced area. I have noticed that we purposely don't go onto military bases to shop since starting carrying.

Work, and going to and from there. I am in an off limits occupation in Missouri. Otherwise I always am if out and about.

I haven't been to a sporting event lately. Do they metal detect or pat down when entering pro events??

Hopefully it will never come to that but I want the option to defend my family and myself in the face of an off chance scenario.

Bingo! I've supported the right to carry for decades, and living IL I never thought we would get it, so I had to be a part of it.

Plus, the wife and I do travel by motorcycle several times a year. And having been broken down on the side of some little two lane road, in the middle of nowhere, at night, is no fun. So I do plan on carrying when traveling. (Where legal, of course)
A couple Colts, a couple Brownings, a Makarov, a Sig, a couple Rugers, a couple Kahrs, a couple Smith & Wessons, a Walther, and a couple Berettas .....Oh, and some long guns...

                    Right on. That makes sense.
