    Da Fuzz

I too had a CT70. Used to run the roads to and from the trails with it. Top speed, 43 mph. They are quite collectible now.

When this miserable old world does finally come to an end there will only be a few things left, cock roachs, rats, moocher liberals and indestructable Honda Trail 70's

Those photos reminded me of the local small town PD.

Oh ya, they had a little french(I think) LaCar, the bubble gum machine on top covered 'bout a third of the roof. Don't recall the color of the LaCar.

We have a little western type tourist town couple hours away and they still have several old cars set up as police rigs. They had an old dodge charger, seems like I recall a 68 or 69 Camaro, some others I don't recall.

Kind of cool to see em. Pretty small town, only one main intersection and the officer on duty is usually in the little coffee shop/gift shop which sits right at that intersection.

This got me thinking back...........I was never allowed to own any type of bike back when..........my parents probably saved my life, but, my friend had a Trail 70, and amongst my other friends, there was a Yamaha 80, a Yamaha 100, a Sears 80, and a Garelli 125.............so, I just rode theirs. I remember going down an old tm track as a passenger, and my friend ducking, and getting a wire across the chest.......yeah, removed me from that bike lickity split.........it's amazing how fast 30 mph can be. Man, did that hurt.

I sold my Trail 70 back in 1973 to buy a bigger motocross bike but I'm sure that old CT70 is still running and going strong somewhere....Our gang consisted of a couple mini bikes, a minitrail 50, my CT70 and one Hodaka 100 and we were pure hoodlums on those bikes....We all went to the movies to see "On Any Sunday" and "Easy Rider" about 50 times and we thought we were junior Hells Angels on our bikes....

I'm sure God was watching over us because we tried every stunt that would get you killed and never gave it a thought....We rode along an active Southern Railroad track and one stunt had somebody ride double on the back of a bike running alongside a train and the guy on back would get off the bike and hang on the train until the end of the trail then get back on the bike....Once the stunt went bad and one of our gang members didn't make it back on the bike and ended up way up the road about 40 miles before the train stopped and he could get off...I'm not sure how he explained that one to his parents but they had to go get him from the Police station, I of course denied being there and knew nothing of the event...

I had a Hodaka 100 too. Flat tracked it for many years. One tough bike that one. Always wanted the Combat Wambat but never got one.

I'm sure that thing is still going strong someplace too.

I had the beloved Mini Trail 70 and a Trail 90, one of them step thru's with a high and low range. I took it on the freeway once, that was skeeery. Riding double too. Double skeeery.
